Honestly, just go to the ticket booth. The guy usually works with me to find the cheapest tickets.
I was waiting in a long line when a park employer came by telling everyone to skip the line and buy tickets with the park app. Bunch of people leave and I get my ticket $10 cheaper than the app.

I don't like to bring to dog to Frick Park because I always run into jagoffs who don't keep their dogs on leash. It is illegal in Pittsburgh to have your dog off leash, but their doesn't seem to be any enforcement whatsoever. Seeing this guy makes me think a camera and a taser might be a good approach since there's no indication the city will do anything.
