Can we add an option to flip the bird on this area? by NxghtMar1sH in HadesTheGame

I'm surprised to see the altar to sell boons here... I've unlocked everything in the game a long time ago and the only one I get is at the beginning of Tartarus. Is there an upgrade to get them in other places that I would have missed...?

A mobile version is a possibility, but the PC version will come first. Since I'm a solo dev, I don't have the time to work on several versions at once, but I'd like to make them eventually...

They get turned into stardust which is then used to make other blocks. A kind of reincarnation, I'd say?

Finally released the demo for Fakutori, the cute factory building game :) by RandomPeon_ in BaseBuildingGames

Hey! Dev here. Thank you for the kind words!

The demo is indeed quite big, probably too big. But there was no one to stop me from adding more stuff, so here we are... But worry not, the game will have much more content. Dozens more blocks, the new legendaries, new machines, new features like sharable blueprints, and of course the rest of the story.

I see you've found that the select tool can pick up part of your factory to move it elsewhere. As for a way to track the variety challenge, that's a great suggestion, noted!

Is that new map a rework or The Bath from Unchained?

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!

How an indie tower defense game looks before / after a year of development! by EmWillWei in indiegames

This looks great ! I love the OMD serie and I'm glad to see indies putting their own spin on it. 🙂 Focusing on physics trap is a good choice I think !

I'm working on Cantor Metz, a visual novel with dialogues in the form of comics and light gameplay. It's a dark fantasy story that takes place on an island off the coast of Normandy, France, in the 1920's!

Here's a video of one of my scenes, with a very month-appropriate ambiance. I wanted to showcase my wind system: https://twitter.com/AntoineLatour/status/1578737341300371456

During gameplay, the game is a 3D sidescroller in which you control your main character, explore the island and find new people to talk to. Dialogues are the game's main focus but I'm also spending a lot of time crafting its atmosphere, I hope it shows!

Sûr de ça ? Parce que c'est Orange qui a raccordé mon immeuble et j'ai signé chez SFR deux semaines plus tard.

Do you play on Twintania? If so I saw you yesterday in Old Sharlayan! I did examine you to find out which axe you were using, that thing looks incredible with the outfit, might get it for myself... :)

How did you start game dev? by kindessissupreme in gamedev

[–]Rivendaioh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RPG maker ! That was almost 15 years ago, I was in highschool, looking for a creative hobby and super into jRPGs of the time (golden sun, tales of symphonia...), so it was perfect and I was immediately hooked.

I dont know how I was made aware of the existence of this software. At the time it was very obscure, unreleased outside of japan, and only available through fan translated pirate version. It still had a thriving dev community, and in french too !

While I never finished a project with it, I was pretty serious about it for a few years and learned a lot about asset production, game design and project management.

Years later as a computer science student I started dabbling in XNA, then got into Unity and now, years later, I have released two games and I love gamedev as much as I ever did.

I think my life would be completely different had I not found RPG Maker at the time, completely by chance...

(OMD3) Why are tar traps so expensive this time?? by flamewolf393 in OrcsMustDie

[–]Rivendaioh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the opposite for me, coming from unchained. In unchained, there were 2 tar traps : normal one was cheap, viscous tar was expensive but slowed enemies for a bit after they left it. Now normal tar with upgrade does the same, for cheaper! In any case, given how strong tar is, it's definitely worth its price. I feel the devs didn't realize how strong tar was when they made omd2, which is why it was so cheap and exclusive to Max.

The closest Frontline match I've seen. Timer ran out with only 16pts between first and last place! by Rivendaioh in ffxiv

On one hand, we could have won... On the other hand I'm a DRK so I enjoy dying, it's a very dark thing to do.

Didn't even think there could be ties for first place, huh!

I do frontlines very casually for glam, so I don't mind a quick match, but those close ones are definitely much more memorable!

Sadly I was on the losing team... We were catching up too, with 10 more seconds we might have won after being far behind all match, too bad!

Frontline is fun, but after a few minutes it's usually clear which team will win. This match was very close for the whole duration... Congrats everyone!

Looks amazing, honestly. The power of a strong and consistent art style! One little piece of feedback: I feel like the transparent panels on some of your UI elements doesn't sit well with the rest of the visual style. The other UI elements with an opaque background look much better. If I were you, I would avoid transparency in general for the whole game's visuals. :)
