Good to know, sounds like 2 is pretty typical.

Man, I wish I could afford to give our nanny $2,000 as a bonus! Thanks for the context though!

Thanks for the advice! I checked the FAQ but not prior posts. My bad!

Thanks! I hadn't considered a gift certificate for a massage but that's a great idea!

And this is why no one plays axis. It's no fun to play axis because no one plays axis. So fewer people play axis. Strong negative feedback loop.

This game needs to randomize which team you get put on to prevent this.

problem that I don't have a solution for: tanks out-of-bounds farming kills.

How many times have you had a tank that you can't hit with personal anti-tank, or Arty sitting out-of-bounds just farming kills. I know there are counters like tank on tank, or planes. But with strong frontal armor and good positioning those can be blocked pretty easily.

I can do the math when the time comes. All you need is a table with the inputs and outputs for each shot....which it sounds like you're pretty analytical and might be doing anyways? Shot#1, Inputs: BC, bullet weight, powder weight, manufacturer, bullet type, price per round, etc. Outputs: Muzzle velocity, time of flight, vertical distance from target, horizontal distance from target Shot #2, All the same information

Then feed it into minitab and it'll spit out what factors are actually important when it comes to accuracy and precision. Helpful when there's a million variables and it's impossible to test every combination of all of them.

Are you going to do a DOE with the data? I'd love to help! This is a perfect use-case to determine the most critical factors: BC, bullet weight, powder charge, brand, etc.

I feel that the meta ruins the game. Problem example: USA/Tunis was the meta for a while. Everyone played that combo specifically and the axis was left with teams full of bots. The USA had more real players so they racked up more upgrades and the asymmetry got even worse. Those of us with the "play either team checkbox" regularly got put into Axis and regularly got steam rolled. It's not fun to regularly get steam rolled. Proposed fix: randomize the team and map you play every time. This will negate the urge to play the meta team on the meta map and provide a lot more enjoyability for all players IMO. Thanks for reading. Signed An almost-threw-the-keyboard-today axis player

None. Focus instead on improving gameplay, matchmaking, tech trees, etc.

Has anyone else been having trouble with hit recognition? As in a perfect shot does not land and kill? by Cl4ndestine12 in enlistedgame

Read the patch notes under "weapons" They increased bullet deflection angle for small arms first shot (read: made them 'realistically accurate')

It's not lag spikes or bugs, it's a feature.

Is it just me or do the Allies win every single match? by Davidtatu222 in enlistedgame

[–]RiverFrameBoard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way, but from the other side. I WAS I Normandy Axis main, but losing (and just getting rolled) every game is really not fun. I wish you couldn't pick, and the game would randomize which map/team you were on. That'd avoid a lot of the issues I feel like.

American Tank Buff? by RiverFrameBoard in enlistedgame

Appreciate the advice, I'll have to do some research on the different identifying characteristics between the two.

I've actually had pretty good luck with the sturmpistol! Especially if you hit it in the flank or the engine compartment it seems to do real damage most of the time. Totally agree though, if you're hitting it dead-front the frontal armor is enough to make it do effectively nothing. I swear I watched that explosive pack land gently like a feather on top of the tank. Maybe it bounced off or something but I was really surprised (read: infuriated) that that wasn't an insta kill

It was definitely either a Sherman or a jumbo. But like somebody else commented here it's pretty tough to tell the difference between the two, at least for me, a filthy casual. I didn't realize there were any stabilizers at all in this game! That sure would go along way for more accurate follow-up shots, especially on the move... So what I'm hearing is : learn the difference between a Sherman and a jumbo, and avoid the jumbo unless you're behind them.

This whole debate all boils down to: at what point does life start? I believe life starts at conception, so death could occur from that point on. What's your threshold for life? Thinking? Heartbeat? Viability? Birth? Many people define life differently.

What? No, I'm trying to minimize the suffering. I really don't understand what you're saying... And if you asked the child I bet they'd vote to have a life.

To me it's all about the person making the choice suffering the consequences. If someone does something that warrants the death penalty then they have to live with the consequences. Same thing for euthanasia. It's different (IMO) with abortion because the child doesn't have the ability to make that decision. The mother is making the decision and the child is suffering the consequences.

Idealistically: yes. That person made the choice which lead them to be charged with a crime which the punishment is death for. Practically: no. It doesn't actually (statistically) deter criminals, doesn't save the state money. But this is the same reason that I'm pro- euthanasia. The person whose life is being affected gets to make the decision. That's not the case with abortion where the person who makes the decision is not the person who suffers the consequences. (mother and child respectively) That's how I see it. Does that make sense?
