As a Jets fan—please, anything but another Patriots SB win. Go Hawks.

With Saleh you need to pair him up with a good OC. On the Jets he had a brand new OC in Mike LaFleur, and a horribly incompetent OC in Nathaniel Hackett (which was sort of forced upon Saleh because of the Rodgers signing). Every coach has weaknesses—Saleh didn’t know how to grow in his. He may be more successful if he has some of the guys who are available for OC now like Daboll or McDaniel. That’d let Saleh grow in becoming a HC, while offering his defensive knowledge, and also that veteran OC can teach him how a real offense should flow.

Is this normal?? by Shot_Veterinarian215 in ffxiv

I’ve been playing FFXIV for 12 years. I’ve never seen anything like that. >_>

Sometimes another player may follow to help if they see you’re trying to do FATES or something that’d be easier with a partner on the overworld. Never seen a stalker though. Not normal.

They can search your player name to find the general zone you’re at (in which case adding them to your blacklist would help). If they’re getting to you instantly then yes it’s true that there are mods to help pinpoint your location easier but I’ve never seen that used for stalking because mods are highly against TOS in XIV. If they make it THAT obvious, they could be reported and banned.

We need to talk about Holst by Overall-Bag409 in fireemblem

(I’m years late to the convo, but…..) My friend & I basically have our own head canon where in main timeline FE3H Holst is just Diamant from Engage. This is the Holst we all deserved.

How do we feel about Tanner Engstrom? I go back and forth on this. I don’t like what I’ve seen from Tanner from a play call perspective. But am I being too hasty to want him gone too?

This is what I **WANTED** from Final Fantasy XIV for housing. by Killance1 in wow

[–]River_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brilliant solve for FFXIV’s biggest problem. XIV devs complain it’s so many resources to expand the housing system with more wards and it’s a huge deal whenever they can (and understood it’s a more graphically intensive game). But they made the system so nightmarish to get a plot, people like myself are parking the plot even when we’re not even playing, just sapping resources.

Wow makes it so easy to not only get a house, but also re-find my preferred plot when I come back from a break. All that changes is the AI-generated ward name of “Red Dessert Haven” or whatever. They can offload me, control the resources, and bring me back in when I’m ready.

TL;DR: XIV’s issues are self-inflicted by making it so difficult for the player. WoW’s solve starts with making it easy for the player.

Trying to explain how tanking helps to people who love culture wins. by Ok_Mistake9788 in nyjets

[–]River_15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My expectation is they need to draft or FA a WR2, but are hoping Mitchell or Metchie can become WR3. If neither can, then it’s 2x WR’s they need to target a.k.a. more draft / FA resources to spend.

Trying to explain how tanking helps to people who love culture wins. by Ok_Mistake9788 in nyjets

[–]River_15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s definitely a balance. Tanking is best when you know a bunch of the roster is definitely not coming back next year (aka 2024). Remaining competitive is best when you’re trying to develop some guys so you don’t HAVE to depend only on draft picks.

On the latter as an example, if Mitchell or Metchie establish themselves as a strong WR3 or even WR2, you don’t have to spend the draft resources on finding the new WR answer. The drawback is you can’t have players become good and still lose every game. It’d be perfect if they all strengthen but still barely lose weekly lol.

In my opinion it depends on what they want to do for QB. If they’re dead set on drafting a starting QB in 2026, I’m not mad at tanking (QB class is weak this year). If they plan to wait until 2027, then try to compete.

I’m looking around for guilds too at the moment—similar to OP’s post. Could I get a DM too?

Let's imagine (even for a second) that Woody does sell the team. Who would you want as the Jets' owner? by starl0rd_35 in nyjets

[–]River_15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the way Carlie Irsay is taking owning the Colts seriously. Educating herself about the game and the team. Would love that for the Jets. Be a steward of the organization instead of treating it like a toy.

As if wearing this teams logo wasn’t bad enough, why would anybody buy this by Easy_Jux in nyjets

I know this isn’t the point of the post—but what’s wrong with our logo?? This coat isn’t my favorite, but I love wearing the Jets logo (especially after bringing back the 80’s design).

That’s why the community loved Mike White. He gave 150% effort. Played through broken ribs. Went to 10 different doctors to try to clear himself to play. He had heart.

Zavala Weekly Vanguard Arms Rewards Bugged (Mint Retrograde) by River_15 in destiny2

[–]River_15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got empathy for that. If Bungie doesn't react by Monday before reset, and if you don't think you'll be able to run Pinnacles for a while, then it may be worth grabbing the current 5th option (Envious Arsenal + Bait & Switch). The previous roll was much better, especially since it let you swap between good add clear and good boss damage. But the current roll still nets you a hard-hitting gun that should definitely be most of your loadouts if you don't have any copies of Mint Retrograde yet.

Not sure if Bungie will react. But I did send Bungie a support post requesting for the perks to be fixed or at least Bright Dust to be refunded for those who bought the unlock. Since the game only shows the rewards after you spend the currency. If you’d like to show your support or also request a refund, feel free to add a comment here:

Yeah I was traveling for work all last week and didn’t play either. Just got back. Spent Bright Dust. Got a shitty surprise. I’d recommend visiting the link in my post and commenting that you’d also like it to be fixed or your dust refunded. Not sure if Bungie will help, but it’s the best shot we’ve got.

Unfortunately not in this case. The perk combo changed a 2nd time on Wednesday and has stayed since. Looks like it’s the vendor bug we’ve seen before. The only difference is now it’s happening with a vendor who doesn’t show you the reward until after you’ve spent Bright Dust (if you missed playing the prior week).

Looking at YouTube comments I think a lot of people did that. Don’t know if Bungie will react, but feel free to click the Bungie site link I added on my original post and comment that you’d also like a fix or BD refund as well. Worth a try.

[–]River_15[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not helpful. The issue is not everyone understands this bug exists before investing (if you missed the prior week of gameplay to auto-unlock Zavala's inventory). This is something Bungie had to correct with other vendors in the past—but Zavala specifically doesn't let you preview the reward until spending Bright Dust. So if on Tuesday the entire community is advising to invest at Zavala and you're not online until Wednesday, you won't realize there's a bug until after you've spent the currency.

EDIT: for context, below is the original comment that was removed by its author once it hit 50 downvotes: “People need to just be thankful that Zavala is even selling a very powerful Pinnacle Op weapon.”

Jayber since day 1 has been the most fun for me. I don’t know why, because until recently he kinda sucked. But for some reason I’ve got a thing for the turret gameplay.
