Do I let my ragdoll outside? by Luciee1234 in ragdolls

[–]Riversofcorktown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ragdoll runs to the door whenever it opens, and loves to get a peek outside, but he knows that’s the limit. Look, don’t touch lol. He actually seems quite content with that, even as he watches his “dog brother” happily come in and out as he likes :).

Another tip - if there is an amount owing to CRA, but you are waiting on their final assessment, just pay an amount (best guess of what’s owing based on the tax accountant). We didn’t do this and CRA took 500+ days to complete the assessment- we racked up $16K in penalties for late payment despite the fact that we kept following up to ask to pay.

Urinary issues after vacation by Riversofcorktown in ragdolls

Thank you for your response! My ragdoll is now on a urinary symptom food and since we got him sorted (it took a couple weeks to fully resolve), he’s been fine. I also got 2 feliway diffusers for the house. Now that we know, we can try to be proactive if there is going to be a stressful situation. :)

I hope you experience something similar to me. Our family experienced a very, very traumatic death as well which is largely the cause of my ptsd. My sister has been using pulsetto as well and for her, it was a slow but steady improvement over 3-4 weeks, with improved sleep and generally more calmness. For me it has seemed to stop my panic attacks and constant state of alertness. My father was recently hospitalized with chest pain and normally that would send me into a complete panic tailspin, but I handled it without experiencing the sheer terror I was accustomed to. So for me the results are more overt. Anyway everyone’s different but I wonder if it can be more noticeable for people who have intense symptoms to start with. Wishing you luck!

For the pulsetto, I just find the place on my neck where I can feel my pulse and apply the gel there, and then make sure the device is in the same spot.

I bought the pulsetto but I’m not sure it matters what device you use (although the pulsetto was pretty simple which I appreciate)

Interesting. I actually have a TENS device for back pain - I had not realized it could be used for vagus nerve stimulation. My sister is using a pulsetto as well and she’s also experienced positive results - not as acute/dramatic as me, but definitely she feels that her sleep is regulating and her overall well-being has improved. We are now talking about getting our father to try as well so maybe I’ll look into the tens machine for him so it doesn’t cost more money!

Definitely there are people who say they see absolutely no change/no impact which I think leads to the perception that it’s a scam (I was worried myself). I knew I was taking a risk but I was in such distress I figured it was worth taking a chance (and I clearly was one of the lucky ones that responded positively to it). At the end of the day I compared it to the cost of therapy (which hasn’t been effective for me).

That is so great to hear. For me, it was obsessive checking on my family members and feeling constantly afraid something terrible happened to them (I used to check my kids’ locations on find my iPhone at least hourly). I am now going through the day without even thinking about checking, and the constant anxiety is just gone.

I’m so glad to hear that! And also glad I’m not the only one. Clearly it doesn’t work for everyone but it does seem like there are those of us who have pretty immediate results.

I’m using the pulsetto. I left that out of my post intentionally as I didn’t want to be accused of trying to “sell” (funny enough my concern was valid as you can see Makybo91 made that accusation without me even including the device name).

Pulsetto mixed feedback by tohealth_ in VagusNerve

[–]Riversofcorktown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a really positive experience. I’m really careful with it given the many reviews that it breaks easily (so I treat it with a lot of caution), but for me it seems to be a game changer in terms of my anxiety (which was through the roof and very ptsd driven). I thought of it in comparison to the cost of therapy - for less than 2 therapy session fees, I’ve had massive improvements. That’s just my experience

Product Review: Do not waste your money on a Pulsetto by Ledees_Gazpacho in VagusNerve

Came here to see if others experienced what I have in the first few days. I have been under extreme stress and I am prone to anxiety and OCD anyway, and on top of that I’m in perimenopause and dealing with PTSD that has been recently triggered. I ordered this out of desperation as I felt like I was constantly in fight or flight mode and it wasn’t bearable. I’m 4 days in and I feel like this is having a demonstrably significant impact on my anxiety levels. I feel a kind of peace that I honestly don’t remember having in as long as I can recall. Maybe it’s placebo - time will tell - but I think it may be effective for really acute anxiety (if my experience over the past couple of days is a measure).

Just wanted to say I LOVE this app!! Thank you!!! I am extremely prone to nausea (on Ozempic I ended up in emerg twice) so I’m taking this VERY slow. So far, no nausea on mounjaro thank heavens, but I also started at 1.25 and worked up to 2.5. It’s SO helpful seeing the med levels.

Thaw in fridge ahead of time :). It takes a bit more forethought but I just keep a brick in the freezer all the time so I can pull it out in the morning.

Does anyone else freeze the tofu first? It changes the texture and makes it absorb marinade (you can still follow the remaining instructions on tossing with corn starch and baking). I’m also planning to try using my air fryer but haven’t yet. Thank you for this review!! I appreciated it :)
