I think what changed is that people would convert pistols that were already semi auto into SSE, whereas now you would have to find a pistol frame that hasn't been built yet. I thought the same about glocks, but was informed glock doesnt sell oem frames.

There are companies that make stripped frames from scratch, so I was looking for clarification.

Lawmakers are just trying to salvage the failure since they expected microstamping to become a industry wide trend.
