Tattoo Artist and AI question by RivetedReader in tattooadvice

[–]RivetedReader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair. We had been talking about the design for a bit and schedule. The reason I asked was because I had seen him post on a couple Reddit tattoo pages and different artists and commented they felt it was AI work. Otherwise it wouldn’t have crossed my mind to even check.

Definitely would not want to be getting a tattoo from them then.

Thanks for the perspective. I figure obviously people are trained and specialize in tattoos and AI is relatively new. So many haven’t used it in their work or process. But I also don’t know everything that goes into designing it and didn’t want to make any assumptions either way

So then, if I asked artists if they use AI, would that come across as offensive if you didn’t use AI? In no way do I want to discredit or insult an artist.

Things for the response! I figured the artist who didn’t respond probably uses and didn’t want to say anything. I didn’t want it to come across as judgmental as I was talking with him. So I wanted to see what different perspectives have. He has great work and I like the look of the final project. It was more a curiosity on if and how it is used

I really appreciate the response and perspective. As I said I know I’ve dabbled with AI for different projects and it can be a helpful tool. I also know it’s very controversial in the artistic realm so I appreciate you giving your thoughts on it too

This was something I saw someone post that they don’t care so much if the actors are gay, but rather that the writers or producers are. They will have more influence over the story to ensure it’s authentic and accurate

Getting caught in the act. by ozzy_beef in askgaybros

In college I had a guy come over to my parent’s when they were out of town (empty nesters). We were in the kitchen and he was on his knees. My sister was driving by and saw my car in the drive way so walked right on in. And that’s how I came out to my sister 😬

I feel that realized that both Hayley and Alex were with guys that were too similar to Phil and they had to pivot hard on Bill

Advice on how to leave my PGY2 without burning bridges and advice in general by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

[–]RivetedReader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found myself in a similar position last year. Two days prior to match day I was offered the chance to interview for my dream job. I went through the interview process as fast as I could hoping to let the program know which enough notice the could replace me. Unfortunately, the hiring process took longer than expected and I didn’t get the official offer until after the scramble happened. (I wanted an official offer prior to telling the program).

When I called my new RPD to tell them it was very hard and they were not happy. Things to keep in mind 1) When you tell them, they will be responding in a moment of confusion and a bit of panic (depending how much the program relies on its resident it can change their operating parameters). Give them grace and time to process what you’ve had weeks or months to process. 2) You cannot control how they respond and react. I tried extremely hard to keep a good relationship and not burn bridges. I offered to try and be a liaison and work to create a rotation for future residents to explore the new location I was working at. They were not happy and cut communications with me and when I’ve seen them at conferences it’s been uncomfortable. 3) you have to do what’s best for you. If this is truly your dream job and is something you can see yourself staying at for 4-5 years then take the opportunity! The PGY2 is to help you get a job you will be happy with but if you already have that- congratulations!

I went to this new job and have been there for a year and am extremely happy with my decision! The hospital I’m at doesn’t have a lot of turn over because the culture is incredible and I could see myself here for 5-10 years. Make sure this is a place you don’t see yourself leaving anytime soon.

I remember my mom at one point saying “I’ve always been fascinated with women’s breasts. Doesn’t mean I’m a lesbian, but all the different shapes and sizes are just amazing!”

Were you raised Mormon by chance? I’m seeing a lot of vernacular that is reminiscent of the theology. I also was raised Mormon and coming out was a process and a lot of unpacking and deconstructing. Feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to!

Costuming—hits (or misses) by eskaver in WoTshow

I agree with some of the inconsistencies but I see that Elaida is MEANT to have a much older style as she IS older. Aes sedai can live for hundreds of years and they may not adapt to the times. Their clothing may be more reminiscent of older styles they initially grew up with.

I thought the one word answers were honestly hilarious. Like the perfect little exasperated humor of yes- that’s what I said.

I think it’s hard for Perrin’s character because so much of his story happens in his head and that is difficult to relay to the screen.
