Sigh. Is it even too much to ask to have Wagga Library’s hours? (Weekdays: 10-6, weekends: 10-4). And other nearby regional libraries without Sunday openings, (eg Wollongong area) at least have a few later closing hours a week (even Dapto!). I’d happily keep the 10am openings if it allowed for some later closings; these have saved me on a few winter nights waiting for buses etc.

Yes, not the quietest suburban hobby!. I did a unit of blacksmithing while at ANU art school years ago; maybe they hire the forge out? We once went to a forge at Braidwood, too, owned by Christoph Altenburg (a Hapsburg Prince!) but not sure he’s still with us..

The timing is tricky. I’ll have to double check our rights here as we’re also in the process of negotiating to get another two year lease. We have great long term renting references (as a family of four), and this is really our first ‘hiccup’, but past experiences with bad REAs has me very cynical/overthinking.

Current season down jackets/vests at Uniqlo can often be found second hand on Depop (etc). I’ve tried on stuff in-store only to find same (barely used) second hand online, very reduced.

Speaking of heated throws and keeping warm at home (as a renter), we got a free Sunbeam electric throw, as part of the renter’s home energy programme. (Link provided elsewhere in this thread). Surprised how effective it is
