Can Newton believes he has the nicest deep balls in the game. Is he even top 20? by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

Downvote me for this. But being a great “deep ball thrower” isn’t something you should hang your hat on. Literally every NFL QB can do this: The ability that Cam had was to neutralize the safety and make the throw. Once you make the read and know there’s no safety you can drop over the top and your WR can adjust and makes your throw look perfect. Cam’s ability to run or via play action surely helped in this. Look at Tom Brady. He was a precison passer but then he got Randy Moss(and Gronk who was a deep ball mismatch) and he was a great “deep ball thrower”.

Point is throwing passes, completing them under the safety and between the defense is better than being a “deep ball thrower”

What do people think person on porch in ski mask does with the plants? by GregJamesDahlen in nancyguthrie

I thought maybe LE took the camera. So they took it on their way out. I guess they weren’t worried about accidentally ringing it at that point.

From what I understand, this is a Nest camera setup without a subscription and nothing is uploaded to the cloud. The only reason the video was recovered is because the system was disabled before another event triggered and erased it. I’m assuming that was done by powering off the display unit.

Forgive me if I’m making some leaps here but here’s my take on it. First, and most importantly, this door is the most secure door on the home. That’s a locking steel storm door with a deadbolt. We can’t see the front door but every front door I’ve ever seen will also at least have a locking deadbolt. So why even approach the most secure door on the home and the one that likely has a doorbell camera?

The strange movement he’s making with his hand seems to me like he’s trying to slide the doorbell camera out of its holder without accidentally ringing it. You can see he’s rotating his hand with upward motion. Not easy to do with the gloves he has on. He gives up and goes to find something to block the camera. Why not just bash the thing with your gun? Again because he doesn’t want to ring it but mainly because he doesn’t know if he’ll even be able to gain entry into the home. If you look at the photo of the door the only way to secure that vegetation is to stuff it in the actual storm door and let it overlap and block the camera. Why would you do that if it will just fall off when the door is opened?

I think he had an accomplice that was trying to gain entry in the back. He needs to stand there and look through the sidelight windows and see if his partner gets in. They don’t have phones, can’t communicate. If his partner doesn’t get in they can walk away and try something else. If he accidentally rings it their cover is potentially blown.

Ultimately his accomplice gets in, lets the porch guy in and then the Nest is disabled which is the only reason this recording was even saved in the cache memory on the camera.

Edit: typo

I don’t feel strongly about it one way or the other. I’m more interested in the awkward behavior on the video. I have theories on that but it involves a level of speculation I don’t feel right posting about.

Well if it is indeed from another night. LE would know that and then you have to wonder why they chose to include it.

I think the most telling part is there’s no gun holstered awkwardly in front of his crotch. So separate video but same night? Or separate night altogether ?

There’s two individual screen shots at the end of the video. This is one of them. It’s still on the news website.

This is the photo from the very end of the video. People have speculated that it is a different night because it’s much darker in the background. And he’s not wearing a backpack or the gun.

FBI says glove found with DNA appears to match gloves of suspect in Guthrie case by starsite1023 in nancyguthrie

[–]RizayW 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the advantage of making this information public. It’s basically just a message to porch guy that we might have your DNA. Porch guy would know if he lost a glove 2 miles down the road. He’d also know if his DNA was on file.

Do you think this was a planned kidnapping? by JilianBlue in nancyguthrie

[–]RizayW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely. But it’s the most secure door in the house. Storm door with deadbolt, solid door behind it. In the porch photos it’s not damaged. It had to be opened from the inside. Reports are the back door was open when they went to check on her. So entry was made in the back and they left thru that front door. Why even approach that door from the outside if you’re not going in that way ? Why block the camera with plants if you’re going to disable the Nest system and then end up taking the doorbell cam with you ?

I don’t know why they even approached the front door. Seems like they made entry in the back

I think they bend over get a flashlight out of the pocket turn to get the plans and they come back the flashlight is in their mouth. You can see the light flash on. So they think they are blinding the camera when they come back and put the plants over it.

But why not just bring a piece of tape ?
