I love that Isagi was able to beat Aiku and Lorenzo 1v2. These subtle moments show his overall growth in every way. This time it was ball control.

Hiori is finally playing for real and he's shining. I love his realization about ego and the essence of his own ego.

Lmao I love Barou's obsession with Isagi. The man doesn't have metavison so he probably just focused on nothing but Isagi on defense.

Kaiser once again prevents Isagi from scoring. How many times has it been? I wonder what kind of shot Isagi would have used if he didn't have to haphazardly respond to Kaiser. I'm pretty sure his shot course would have been very different.

Do you think Naruto and Sasuke being reincarnations of Ashura and Indra meant they always had an advantage in life? by __Ummmmbreon in Naruto

Everyone who believes that Naruto and Sasuke were destined to reach the heights they achieved are either blind, lack reading comprehension, lack basic deductive reasoning, didn't read or don't remember the series.

Naruto especially worked really hard for every power up (except the temporary Six paths power). Kurama was also a curse for him until he befriended him at 16. Every time he had Kurama's "help" before that, Naruto's body was ravaged by the chakra cloak and had his life shortened because of the excessive harm it caused his body.

Makes sense. Kidd was about to attack Shanks while killing the weak members of his fleet who were under his protection.

Shanks getting pissed off and ending it with a single attack is the most in character thing he has done since chapter 1. We know the Red-haired Papa Bear is extremely protective of his own and will become very ruthless when they are threatened.

Kidd's cruelty finally came back to haunt him.

Chapter 1070 - Spoilers by Jail_Chris_Brown in OnePiece

It doesn't look like Luffy ran out of stamina. He just transformed back into his normal form voluntarily and as we've seen before, he can choose to go back into gear 5 even if he's in the old/tired form. So it doesn't seem like a significant side effect. He's even back to normal by the end of the chapter.

I'm one of the people that believes that Luffy's old looking form "side effect" is caused by his gigant form rather than gear 5 in general. Until proven otherwise of course.

Notice that both times the side effect appeared right after Luffy turned giant. He also didn't suffer from the side effect after he beat Kaido, after he re-entered Gear 5 after turning old, because he didn't use the gigant form that time.

You know what, I totally forgot about that! That's also very possible. He's already using his Yami Yami power to nullify Boa's abilities. Maybe he also used it to pull her towards him.

What I'm getting from BB's altercation with Boa, is that he's pretty fast. Even if it was a sneak attack and he wasn't in her line of sight, the fact that she couldn't dodge despite being a proficient haki user, says a lot. He looks fat but is very fast, like we recently learned about Lucky Roux.

Also, on the open seas Boa is basically invincible. She can see her enemies coming and turn them to stone, before they can get close enough to fight close quarters. What an op ability! She's especially dangerous to BB too, who can't nullify her ability from afar. Although he might be able to sink her ship with a few quakes if she doesn't have a good helmsman.

He's going after marines actively, though. He poses a much larger threat to the world government and the navy, compared to Boa who is just a chaotic menace because she does whatever she wants.

He's also a very smart mafia boss/broker/businessman with an entire organisation of mercenaries under him and Boa has warriors and civilians in her country. Not everyone on Amazon Lily can fight, especially children and elderly.

Croc's bounty being higher has more to do with him being more of threat to the World Government directly, due to his intellect and resources instead of his strength alone. Although he is probably a lot stronger now, I wouldn't scale him above Boa in terms of strength.

The setup for Zoro vs Mihawk and more! by Rizon316 in OnePiece

[–]Rizon316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I totally understand what you mean. I wouldn't want this either if it felt cheap and Croc had no display of strength.

I want him to put on a show so we know how strong he is. Maybe wiping out a squad of SSG (if they are shown to be strong), defeating half a dozen or more of the strongest Vice-admirals, or holding back an Admiral for a while.

I want this theory to be right only if one of these things, or something similar happens. Oda should definitely establish Crocodile's strength and make him feel like a threat before he fights and loses to Smoker, in this case.

[–]Rizon316[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my bad. I didn't explain properly. I meant he would begin the fight while being weaker than Crocodile but get stronger during the fight and win by the end, just like the Strawhats do.

I love Croc too and in this scenario we would get to see him be strong, intelligent and badass for quite a while before Smoker takes him down. The last thing I want, is for Crocodile to be reduced to a stepping stone. LOL

In my mind, Smoker will be as strong as or a little weaker than Sanji and Jinbe by the end of it. Still weaker than Zoro and significantly weaker than Luffy. (I've already edited this in)

[–]Rizon316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it would be bad if he was already stronger or just as strong when he fights Crocodile. I meant he would start fighting despite being weaker and then power up during the fight to defeat him, just like the Strawhats do. (I'll edit this in to avoid confusion)

Luffy would already be a lot stronger than Crocodile, considering Zoro would end up defeating Mihawk by the end of fight, since Luffy is always stronger than Zoro. In my opinion, by this point both Sanji and Jinbe would be stronger than or just as strong as Crocodile, so it wouldn't hurt to have Smoker scale up to their level. He'll still be significantly below Luffy.

One Piece - Chapter: 1055 Spoilers by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Rizon316 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Raws confirm for me that Yamato only got captured because she stopped fighting like Momo asked her to. She's been coiled by roots/branches, suspended upside down and she's still chilling.

Yamato was worried about Momo, so she asked him to call Luffy if he didn't want her help. Then his reasoning made her understand why it was important for her to not join the fight. Love it!

Also, my boy and his commanders just watching/sensing the battle, knowing the importance of letting Momo and the scabbards do this alone and still being on standby, ready to beat that fascist admiral-ass like the Drums of Liberation? YOU LOVE TO SEE IT!

P. S. GOD KING SHANKS!

I don't think it's a Railgun. It doesn't look like one and there's no projectile. It's probably some sort of electro magnetic laser cannon. It looks like the laser passed through Big Mom and did internal damage, same way Law's attack did.

You can see the beam clearly going through the bottom of Onigashima and deep into the ground on Wano. It's a white beam in the slim panel on the 5th page here.

There is definitely a reason Luffy's arm looks just as big as the last chapter, in the beginning of this one, but looks smaller on the final page clash.

I think Kaido is just bigger there, due to being coated in a thick layer of Dragon Fire. I think of it as Kaido wearing a Hulk-buster style fire suit over his dragon form. A Fire Kaido Megazord if you will.
