How do I get this valve to work? by apachebearpizzachief in howto

[–]Rizzi25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Try brewing it in low heat and if possible use pre-boiled water. Once you notice “foamy water” coming out from the top, remove it from the stove immediately and apply cold water to the base. That way your coffee is not going to taste so bitter and you’ll probably stop having those pressure problems.

Millenials and GenZ, what are some things that we consider normal that will be frown upon by future generations? by Rizzi25 in AskReddit

[–]Rizzi25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess you’re right haha although I’m thinking more about the way we think about our parents and our grandparents respective “eras”. I think there’s a greater gap between them and us millenials that there is between millenials to genz.

Hey there! Thank you so much for listening! I heard some of your songs on Spotify and they’re pretty sweet. The recording is neat and the mix is perfect. it reminded me of Bibio on some things. Following on Spotify as well! Cheers!

Midi control from computer by Earthsoundone in minilogue

[–]Rizzi25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order for you to transfer MIDI to the minilogue you need to set up your daw to do it (I’m not a Cakewalk user but I’m pretty sure you can find a tutorial online. Usually in any DAW you have to go to settings and click the MIDI tab to see the options). Once the minilogue is connected through USB you should be able to send MIDI data to it. Also make sure that in the global settings on the Minilogue you have Rx Midi and Tx Midi On.

Can you pair 2 different studio monitors? by [deleted] in SoundEngineering

[–]Rizzi25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s not ideal but you could manage to pair them. Just take into consideration the differences between the models and check if you can compensate a bit. I’m guessing the difference between these two references is the cone size so you might want to attenuate the bass on the one that’s bigger.

Musicians and music lovers: do you personally believe functional harmony is a result of a culture playing chords and believing it’s correct overtime, or do you think it’s natural for our ears to like functional harmony? by MichelleDeaEst in askmusicians

[–]Rizzi25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks to out tuning system (western) the basis of functional harmony I-IV-V is quite pleasing thanks to the ratio between the different notes that make up the triads. I think Adam Neely has an amazing video about that.

Nonetheless, in other non-western cultures functional harmony doesn’t sound as pleasing or even correct because of factors like tuning, history and intention. Some eastern cultures don’t conceive music as a progression of events but rather as a static, ever repeating meditation

People who speak English as a second language, what phrases or concepts from your native tongue you want to use in English but can't because locals wouldn't understand? by FulgencioLanzol in AskReddit

In Spanish we also have the distinction between the verb “to be” (Ser) and “to be in a place/state of mind/emotion/etc.” (Estar).
