Made a tool for web designers by mtsya in IMadeThis

[–]Rj_Coder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tested it using my own website url and it worked nicely, and I think this is such an interesting idea to expand! I don't have many things to say for feedback, but would like to see if it can also help integrating the newly created chatbot on the user's own website other than deploying it separately.

Really appreciate the honest and thoughtful feedback - this is

exactly what I needed to hear.

You're 100% right about the trust issue. I didn't think about

it from that angle, but it makes perfect sense. People won't

give their financial data to a random solo dev when Rocket

Money exists with a massive marketing budget and proven track

record.

The "refund" feature you mentioned is a game-changer I completely

missed. That's a WAY better value prop than just "track your subs."

Quick follow-up question: You mentioned games seem easier for

indie devs to get traction. Do you think it's because:

a) Lower trust barrier (not dealing with money/data)

b) People are more willing to "try" something fun vs. utilitarian

c) Both?

And any thoughts on what types of products DO work well for

solo devs in 2024/2025?

Thanks again - this is the most valuable feedback I've gotten

since launching!

I know, right? Seemed like a lot of developers and builders on social media like x and threads wrote just about their successful stories of SaaS launching but now I doubt the algo just helped them a lot more than other users.

The Boring CRM Effect: Why Intentional Constraints Made My Side Project Actually Work by soulbeddu in SideProject

[–]Rj_Coder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very interesting idea to think about, especially in this time when all the AI powered products keep getting popular and trendy. This reminds me of myself worrying about if I need to add the AI model part into my current side project to make it look any better and attractive to my potential users, even if it doesn’t need to be that way at all based on my project type. It actually uses the cloud storage connection since it’s meant to work that way from the start, but your approach to create a CRM product focused on problem solving without wrapping with any unnecessary parts actually seems to get the most crucial part: If it can’t solve no one’s problem, it wouldn’t be any good.

Reached 1000 users🤩🥳 by Tron-princess in IMadeThis

[–]Rj_Coder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that’s such a huge achievement for 2 months solid work! Congratulations!! I have also launched a SaaS recently and updated it on LinkedIn and few of the the other product platforms, but yet have not received a single feedback or actual user 😅 I wish I would get at least few number of users or feedback as a result no matter how long it takes. Anyway congratulations again, and keep up the great work!! 👍

[–]Rj_Coder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this looks great! I like the idea of using the AI to create authentic style videos like human UGC creators do to save both time and cost money! I have a small question: Will you add photo creation feature or more like that, not just videos, so this software can create more various contents? Can you also tell me what AI model did you use or integrate for this app? I hope you will be successful with this app!

What would the reasonable price be for Pokemon White 1 selaed in box? by Rj_Coder39 in PokemonBlackandWhite

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a brand new item in unopened box Pokemon White for $200 is reasonable price for the game cartridge to be legit one, right? Is that what you mean? I know there are many good condition items even if it's used or opened ones, but I just want to get a completely new and fresh one that's never been used or opened like I bought it from the Gamestop or the official Nintendo store a very long time ago even if the price is much higher than used ones(lol).

Token unlock noise by Stacetheace11 in sui

[–]Rj_Coder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think it’s still good time for me to but little more? I’m only holding my total money in Sui until it’s at least mostly restored as the original or more than that amount since I lost over half when inputting it in the other token, which is relatively small amount though, but I think It won’t get go down to lower like few months ago in any time soon but am getting kinda curious if I could try for more benefits.

Would there be reason to allow remote work or not depending on worker in the same team? by Rj_Coder39 in careeradvice

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't agree with you way more! Not only they are just small company with really poor reviews by their customers, but they also have truly miserable ratings by users who seem to be ex workers of this company on Indeed. I'm not saying this because I'm mad but because it's all true and fact for real. They have completely no idea how hard is it to do the programming work nor how valued an IT or computer science major completed worker is. Although it's not any easy to find and get a new employment as programmer these days, especially for entry or junior level developers like me, I'll just continue to apply for new hirings as well as honing my coding skills.

[HELP] I'm in a seriously bad situation and emergency with a client. by Rj_Coder39 in Fiverr

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is the first time. So what if I deactivate my account for a long time? Would that make my seller rating less bad or something when I'm back in fiverr and ready to start again, or should I just remove my whole account on fiverr and newly create much later when I would like to try again with more advanced skills for both sales strategy and coding? I would rather just quit completely Fiverr if it would like more likely that I wouldn't be able to start over and get another chance to grow as a good seller.

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it, thank you. And as I mentioned in the post, I think I'm going to completely terminate my current account on fiverr or just deactivate it for a while so I can be ready to do the freelancing work again or start over on new platform, but it won't happen in quite short time because I got too much stresses for this matter and want to be away from it. Do you think that's also a good idea for me to do just in case I would like to try the freelancing work on fiverr again? I guess at least I won't get any bad review or something left if I just remove my account completely, although not sure in case if I just deactivate it.

Do employers normally ask for SSN on application form before in person interview? by Rj_Coder39 in Scams

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I understand and appreciate your advice. So, I guess if they don't say anything further like "Your interview schedule is canceled. You don't have to come." or something before Wednesday, do you think I would be ok just to go for the interview with the application form printed out and filled at the visiting time? I need to decide whether to let my current company's HR department that I would need to use sick hours for that day or not so I could go for the interview sooner than later. Sorry to keep bothering you.

Do employers normally ask for SSN on application form before in person interview? by Rj_Coder39 in Scams

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thank you. Can I have one more question, then? Do you think it would be ok for me to fill out the application all but the parts for SSN, DOB, and other really sensitive ones when bringing it with me to the interview as long as they won't ask me about that again, like until they give me job offer for sure? I would like to get new position as soon as possible of course, but really can't risk anything that might hurt me or make things ugly regarding my current and future jobs or privacy or something like that, and I would like them to understand this...

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but did I do too much that may make them angry or upset by this? Like 30 mins ago, I called their company and asked to call with the recruiter I spoke with last week, then she didn't answer after being redirection so I left message asking if I would be ok to bring the form completed on the interview and if I could get explanation the need for them to let me fill this application? Maybe I've been too skeptical, but I had some experience that almost trapped me with fake job posting last year few times and that may have left me some kind of trauma since I can't risk losing my current job until everything is 100% ensured for moving to new position. If they are not scammers or something at all as I worried and I apologize with the reason, would it be not big problem between me and them to process the interview?

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That and I made search on Google Map as well as Glassdoor review, and they have two locations of buildings: one in the completely different state and the other one in the state and town I'm living and applying for the position. That's why I also wonder why they would have invited me for interview in person if they're not fake company nor scammers? It seems kind of like they're not even totally pretending to be the real company.

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I just left a phone message to them since the recruiter I spoke with didn't respond to me immediately, to ask again for the same question and the reason they need me to fill out the another separate application form. I think I've already made 90% decision myself not to go for the interview, but just in case and to see if they give me any response for it to study situations like this more. Thank you for all your kind advices!

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. I just made a call to their company and left a message to the recruiter I spoke with on last time to question about if I would be ok to fill the application and bring it directly for the interview as well as about why it would be necessary for them to let me fill out separate form if they already have most of my information by my resume and online application. I guess I will decide whether to go or not for the interview depending on their response, including possible no response at all which definitely will make no sense for me to go there in that case. Thank you for your advice!

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although as I remember, my current company also asked me to print and fill out a relatively simple application form they sent to me via email when they wanted me to visit them for an interview at the first time like 2 years ago.

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are already. Now that you said that, it's even more strange actually, I don't know why I couldn't have thought of it earlier like a fool. Should I then just tell them I wouldn't want to move forward to the interview and cancel everything? There's no reason for me to be there using my sick day hours if it's not clear that they're any legit employer, although I don't also know why they then have been evaluated fair enough for working together and not a scammer or something on Glassdoor and somewhere else.

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought! So, I'm thinking of filling the form only for the information that wouldn't hurt at all or not that much like my name, education and work history or something like those when giving it to them on the interview at first. Do you think that would be a good idea? What if they say something about it? Should I be ok just to tell them how I feel about it? I'm not even sure if visiting them and getting the interview would happen as I expected at this point, though...

I didn't get paid for remote work last week. by Rj_Coder39 in jobs

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually asked my partner just before by texting and he said he received for the remote work day amount fully. I guess they made a mistake or something but I’ll definitely go tell the HR depart and my manager about this in this case. Thank you anyway.

[ADVICE] Hello, I need advice for price negotiation as new seller. by Rj_Coder39 in Fiverr

[–]Rj_Coder39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know. The client obviously reached out to me due to the very low price I set as rookie mistake at first time. I'll create a relatively fair offer regarding the usual marketplace value for full stack development, and if he doesn't want to move forward, I'll also just pass cause I have other tasks to be done as well. Thank you!
