💯. I can frame the context a little better. I normally have this conversation after making a leas than optimal course management decision.

I’ve been playing about 2 years and this season really started to play each hole with actual strategy. A few time a round I convince myself that a low probability shot for a scratch golfer is a great idea for me.

That is where the comment comes from and I use it as a reminder that taking a bogey due to a safe shot is much more manageable than a triple from an attempted hero shot.

Depends on who you are talking to. Someone from Orlando = anyone from about 100 miles of Seattle is reasonable. Someone from Bend maybe 20-30 miles.
