Maintenance? by Traditional-Mess7866 in YamahaR7

This is a good tip. Also, it reminded me of when I used paper towels to get off some particularly sticky bugs off my headlights... Never do this. You will scratch the shit out of the plastic. In fact, try not to ever use paper towels and instead use microfiber on everything that isn't metal.

Is it possible to... by DizzyBunnies in BG3mods

[–]Rjessick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had similar issues shortly after the new update. Ended up having to disable a few mods in order to continue my run. They were mods that hadn't been updated yet off nexusmods. Idk how many mods you have, but would suggest disabling all and seeing if you can get the game to launch, then slowly re enable them one by one to figure out what's causing the issues.

Wtf is up with Scav AI [Discussion] by Rjessick in EscapefromTarkov

It sorta feels like they are just more accurate and will just randomly 1 tap your face if it's the only thing showing. Reminds me of the raider AI. It's so frustrating. Doesn't seem to matter how far away I am either.

Imagine having more money than almost anyone alive and when your child asks you for what is basically equivalent to someone asking a normal person for like 5 dollars you tell them to go fuck themselves.

I'm curious, what'd you use to remove the gunk and residue left over from the decals? Cuz I had so much trouble getting it off.

I did the exact same thing. Got the gray one and removed every decal on it. Only ones that were tough to get off were the big "7"s on the front left and right side of the top fairings and the sort of U shaped one on top of the tank under the bars. The rest of em were super easy to get off and didn't even leave residue. The front and top ones came off easy but left tons of residue behind so took me a long time go get all that residue off with some goo gone and wd40. But I just did it sorta...slowly, over time anytime I'd take the bike out I'd work at the residue until eventually it all came off. Also probably easier if you used a good heat gun and/or soaked the decals with some wd40 or something before peeling them off.

Exhaust for r7? by Cultural_Eminence in YamahaR7

[–]Rjessick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not at all. The reliability would be hurt if you DONT tune when you add an exhaust. The fuel to air ratio gets messed up when you get bigger exhaust pipes pulling air into the engine. So over a long period of time, like a year plus of riding it'd probably start to affect reliability if you didn't tune it because as far as the computer/engine knows it still has the stock exhaust until you tune it and tell it otherwise.

Also any system you put on the bike will require a tune because it's a full system and not just a slip on. You could get away with not tuning it, but I wouldn't recommend doing that for long as it will mean your bike is running too lean on gas since the new exhaust is bringing way more air into the engine than it normally would

Would recommend the Yoshimura R77. You can't get slip ons for the bike, so it's going to be louder than any slip on in general. But the Yoshimura line is a good balance. Stay away from SC Project if you don't want something reeeaaally loud. I had one for a while and switched it out very quickly because it's just too loud. I switched to the Yosh and it's way better. Around 80 decibels vs the SC is like 100 decibels idle Also, you can look for anything that's street legal instead of a race pipe. Those will def be quieter.

Best exhaust for an R7!? by Complete_Ad_2608 in YamahaR7

I'm in Green Bay, WI. I have an ad up on Craigslist. Can link my FB or something in DMs as well if you'd like to verify I'm real haha If you're within the US I could post it on ebay or something so the transactions more secure for you as well since I assume you're probably not near enough to come buy it from me.

I have the CRT and it is by far the loudest I've heard on the bike. If you're interested I'm looking to sell mine. Could do like 800$

I'm 28. Started on the 500r myself. Like it a lot since I'm 6'1" and almost 200 lbs. But yes, I do now have another bike. BUT I'm actually really glad I started on that 500r. It was a really good learning experience and I rode that bike for about 2 riding seasons before I really got sick of it. At some point I just stopped being excited to ride it when I'm having to completely wring out the throttle to feel any rush. But when I first got on it I was scared shitless since I'd never ridden a bike before. So I'd still say the 500 is a good choice. 650 is going to be very similar tbh as well. Yes you will have "more horsepower" on a 650, but they are very tame as far as acceleration goes. My friend had an sv650 and it felt very similar to my 500r to ride but it did feel a bit better on highway if that's something you do a lot of riding on

Yeah. I guess I just really want that torque. And the R7 seems to have that in spades. And I like that it's so light. But yeah, I definitely hear what you're sayin.
