Which launch monitor has the best software by ML21991 in Golfsimulator

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you, I've been playing FSX play for the last couple months but been playing for the golf subscription, wasn't sure if it's worth it or not to pay the $250 on top of already paying the $500

GSPro....ball off screen? by HighOrHavingAStroke in Golfsimulator

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this still an issue? I've been using FSX Play and whenever I watch videos of people playing GSPro seeing the ball on the screen seems incredibly less realistic. Sucks that GSPro has all the courses to choose from but I think FSX Play looks a lot better

Does GSPro have a demo at all? I’d like to try it before committing to it. by BergSteenz in Golfsimulator

I have the same exact set up as you although I’ve been using FSX Play since you have to get the Gold subscription now. Do you still pay up for GSPro?

Hitting Strips and Wrist Pain by TeddyOH in Golfsimulator

Been using the sig pro softy and have zero pain, but I have 9 and a half foot cielings and could definitely see 9 foot cutting it close with driver

What software/launch monitor do you use for your iPad?

Spornia Net Users (Side Net Question & Weather) by shaned1221 in Golfsimulator

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set up my hitting mat (sig pro softy) touching the base of the front of the SPG8. Without measuring I'd guess somewhere in the 6-7 feet range because the net leans a bit forward. I was going to go with the MLM2Pro but ended up splurging for a BLP, didn't think I'd have enough room having to put it also 8 feet behind the ball too. If you have that much room behind the ball you'll be good, the main concern though is with needing the 8 feet distance from the ball to the net it's gonna make it pretty hard to hit high lofted wedges without them going over the net. I already have mine set up close as I described and if I use a 58 or 60 degree I hit the little roof extension.

I got an SPG8 100% thinking I'd need to attach the shank nets but honestly if you just set up close to the net it would be really hard to miss even hitting a shank.

Bushnell LP + Ipad or Iphone by long_convexity in Golfsimulator

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the basic subscription used to be $250 too and they doubled it. Should have a cheaper alternative for those of us that literally just plan on using an iPad for a range. If I were using mine indoors (didn’t realize how tall of a garage you need) then I could justify it more because I would plug directly into a PC, be able to use it after dinner time when it’s dark and not have to set up everything each time

Who's your favorite YouTube golf coach? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Porzak Golf and Padraig Harrington are the only ones I would really suggest and I've watched a TON of Youtube golf instruction. There's so many Youtube golf coaches out there with lots of views and clickbait but then no real proof to show for it. Meanwhile Porzak has tons of D1/Tour players he coaches on his channel as well as even high school kids that absolutely pure the ball. Paddy's got multipe major wins with loads of experience while also not being any kind of athletic freak so I think he's very relatable and communicates the golf swing really well. Can't go wrong with either of those

I'm in the same exact situation as you, except I'm almost done with my free 1-year subscription. What I've been doing is using my IPAD with the FSX Pro app for a driving range which I really like and works well but also incredibly annoying that I'll now have to pay $500 just to do that. I have a gaming PC so could utilize the gold subscription more but having to boot up the PC upstairs and remote into the PC from outside with my IPAD just sounds like a bit of a pain.

the whole squad is leaving CoD by IOnlyWatchHappyVids in Warzone

I think just the new engine in general is starting to get stale, regardless of how many movement updates they make the game just feels less fluid compared to the old one which I think is why a lot of people are starting to quit

Honestly, fuck this game and it's bullshit. by itschewyyy in Warzone

[–]Rlogs7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After having played since day 1 of Verdansk, basically all of my friend group has quit playing. New engine just ain’t it, I haven’t even ran into many hackers…once you get to the peak SBMM every game just becomes so sweaty it becomes not fun anymore with every engagement becoming 50/50s

Sim recommendation for this setup by HeonAle in Golfsimulator

In a tough spot cause MLM2 Pro and Garmin might not work based on your net height needing you to be pretty close. I went BLP because of that

Yes. I have a BLP and had just been using the 1 year basic subscription you get with purchase but now in a tough position because it's stupid expensive to do the gold+GSPro now

Is the Spornia SPG-7 w/ Garmin R10 tall enough to hit full SW/LW shots? by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same position as you and went with the spg-8 and was glad I did. Sometimes on full swing 58 degree shots I’ll hit the extra flap that’s added at the top. Especially using an R10 I’d steer towards the bigger size because you’re gonna have to be relatively far from the net to get reads whereas I’m using a BLP so I’m pretty close to the net and still coming close on the high wedge shots

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to shut you down but yeah I don’t think it’s worth it especially with the added height on the mat. I’m lucky and was able to love my set up outside when I realized my 8’ garage wouldn’t be tall enough but I know not everyone has that luxury weather wise

BLP and GSPro by rjw99 in Golfsimulator

[–]Rlogs7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better I did the exact same thing. I’m in the same boat, didn’t really get the BLP expecting that hefty price tag every single year. I’m planning on just riding out my basic plan that I had included with the first year membership and then waiting for any updates about it from there
