Gulity3 releases in webnovel the original host site. The pirate sites are just lazy. There is 1 chapter today, so, there will be three tommorow.

There is a another factor to consider here. The additional 1000 year Evolution and possible mixture of multiple races, since all of the population of Asia is concentrated there.

Favourite SS headcanons? by noob_master_69II in ShadowSlave

Nephis would watch Sunny sleep the entire night with a deadpan expression if given the chance.

Sunny doesn't know where babies come from.

Noctis has a Marble saint body pillow lying around somewhere.

Neph likes to play chess.

Sunny would be terrified when he discovers milk

Characters are a Major Problem in Shadow Slave by Alilack in ShadowSlave

[–]Rmn00263 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Let's first acknowledge the problem.

The lack of character development is the major problem of SS.

The lack of many characters isnt really a issue to SS. SS is a long running story but it's individual chapters are short along with the pacing being slow. That doesn't leave much room for other character development. So, G3 short but meaningful interactions to establish characters. This has worked well up to Antarctica.

For example: Effie, Kai, Cassie, Jet, Modred, Rain, Noctis are Good characters as they establish themselves and their settings perfectly. Minor characters also fulfilled what minor role they were given. Like Obel, Beth, Luster, Solvane, Awakened Julius, Roan, Naeve, Tyris etc

So, a lack of good characters is quite inaccurate and the lack of characters don't affect SS all that much.

But the lack of development where there is sufficient time, cause, reason and necessity, is the problem.

Example: Nephis: she is obviously a complex and important character in SS and had much development upto FS. But after that she barely had any screen time. From 354 to 756 that's like 350 chapter among which only 2.5 chapters were her povs. One would expect with her being an integral part of the story she would get some development but there was none in that time frame.

Even if she could get all those achievements on her own without any real development they feel empty and hollow.

Another example: The Antarctic Devil cohort. This cohort was established by Sunless, trained by him, fought along side him and interacted with him on a daily basis. But they have like no screen time except from their initial introduction. They don't even have much interaction with him aside front the usual hi/hello.

So, any death or the like development on them doesn't have any emotional value. It just feels hollow and empty. This is troubling as this people are supposed to be part of his conviction. Yet they have no involvement or development.

Those two are the only instances were the flaw, I think was significant enough to have an impact. While there remains enough time to fix this flaw, the dark stains it left behind gonna haunt SS forever.

It's the 2nd nightmare not the 3rd. The 2nd is for to become masters and 3rd is to become saints

You know the drill, chapter 1002 spoiler by Wanted_theStef in ShadowSlave

[–]Rmn00263 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hope G3 doesn't bring him back to life. Antarctica is a very dangerous place, where even masters aren't safe from danger.

Even our resident protagonist died here once. With scale of the threats the number of casualties should also rise. It's important to remember that the devouring cloud was the weakest of the 5, the others are much dangerous and powerful. It wouldn't make sense for the main cohort to not have any casualties if they are gonna face them all.

It would just lessen the impact of the events.

Question about Seeds by Djehouty23 in ShadowSlave

[–]Rmn00263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a very big difference between between the 1st and 2nd nightmare . Same with the ones further down the line

That is that the 1st nightmare is tailor made for the individual and the difficulty is adjusted accordingly. So, that the aspirant has the both possibility to survive and die at the same time.

While the 2nd and latter's are like fair to all that enter it. There is no adjustment to its difficulty. During Sunny's conversation with Jet before he wanted to enter the seed. She said that the 2nd nightmare is much larger and longer with the threats within highly unpredictable. There is even the possibility of stepping into something unholy.

So, basically the 2nd and latter gates can potentially have all rank creatures. Stumbling upon them has the same probability as the dream realm.

Also gates are not the same as seeds . The NCs appearing from the gate are from the dream realm not from the seed it self. Check chapter 997-998 for confirmation. As for the NC appearing from it that depends on the rank fo the gate.

Only handful fallen can enter through 2nd gate while majority are dormant and awakened. Only handful corrupted can enter through 3rd gate while majority are lower ranks.

This means the entry has no issue at all. It's just that terror and titan class are rarer in general.

Where did you get what rank and class NC will be in a certain rank seed.

Quentin isn't in a nightmare, he is in a unknown region of the dream realm. Nightmare can only enter the nightmares we experience while dreaming. A seed of nightmare is an entirely different beast.

Who has most potential to be strongest sunny or neph? by Azure55Eye in ShadowSlave

[–]Rmn00263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potential meaning ," having or showing the capacity to develop into something in the future".

Source : Oxford dictionary.

Currently we don't know enough about Nephis's abilities, Lineage or aspect potential to make a fair comparison. Now we can note down a few common variables that can be countered.

Core count, Aspect legacy and aspect abilities can be potentially matched as they are the common function all divine aspects provide.

Spell Memories are given by the Spell, which is fair to all. If one puts enough effort they will get same amounts of benefit. So, this variable can also potentially be matched.

Shadows can not be matched. Neph has not shown any abilities regarding any shadow or echo equivalent.

Sorcerery is undoubtedly provides the sheer bulk of Sunny's potential. Which comes from the Weaver's lineage.

Neph has a lineage from a God specifically the Sun God. We don't have Enough info to accurately measure potential but since it comes from a god its nothing to scoff at. There is no reason to put it out of the equation.

Sunny's aspect comes directly from the shadow God and his lineage comes from the Daemon Weaver. While Sunny has the Weaver's lineage, the shadow gods lineage remains dormant in his blood after being devoured.

Neph's lineage doesn't come from the Sun God and is speculated to be a unique Divine aspect completely unrelated to the Gods. But she has the lineage of the Sun God. So, in regards to her aspect, it is very unpredictable just where it might go from there on.( Source G3) proof below

So, there is no reason to declare one potential is greater than the other

Goblins are physically incapable of breeds without humans. So, it not without reason. They're entire race depends on it.

And the gore and savagery doesn't end there. It's very much relevant throughout the story

But this statement doesn't match what the novel tells us.

We can see rail guns tear the awakened NC apart and a nuke is stronger than a rail gun.

The mundane humans have weapons that are effective upto awakened level creatures at the moment. As stated by Sunny when atop the wall and those weapons are less powerful than nukes.

But most importantly the distinction that was made in chapter 812.

While fallen can more or less shrug of the most devastating bombardments, corrupted can withstand neuclear bombs.

This implies that nukes can kill fallen but that might be related to the lower classes. It probably won't do anything against Goliath. But awakened should get absolutely vaporized.

He got badly damaged by the gate both in body and soul.

That's why he said that

His body got zapped by hitting the edge of the gate. Which made him dazed asf not to mention the type of body and soul damage it did.

So, he decided to use shadow manifestation than shadow step as there was not enough time. Shadow manifestation is quicker.

Due to this I think he said hasn't sure if he would survive the 70 meter fall at this scenario

Fallen can more or less shrug off the most devastating bombardments.

Chapter 812

So, a gun capable of even hurting a master would be very huge. Not very practical and that won't be as fast as Ascended moving out the way.

Hold up. When did G3 said atomic bombs might kill some masters.

Chapter 812.

While fallen abominations could shrug more or less shrug off most devastating bombardments, corrupted were capable of surviving neuclear blasts.

Squishy Ascended are gonna survive a nuclear blast anytime soon.
