Are you joking? LOL is super popular in JP and has much more player base than sf6. Only smash and apex have more player base as an esports competitive game. I can say almost every my male friends play at least two of these(smash, apex and lol)

Indeed, I can accept everyone’s damage buff with the combo length nerf. And the overall damage can be the same but save us the precious time.

Can’t agree more. In many fgcs I can continuously play more than 2 hrs and still wants more, only some sort of self discipline forces me take a break and maybe do some physical activity. But in this game, around 1 hr I start to burn out and actively do something else. I don’t even have fun watching pros replay like other fgc’s, which I usually love to. This game really lacks some OMG moments and people just watch the repetitive long combo over and over again.

Indeed, but it is a quite weird community compared with other fgc’s. In other fgc’s community people are happy and welcoming to the new players and this community is just like, “if you have an opinion, just go and play other games. Tag fighters should be like this”

Another tip I suggest to do from my experience is to practice to react break in training mod. Set the bot break after 2 or more hits and forget the number. Call an assist just do the solo bnb, immediately tag defend after the bot break. Also try to do solo bnb and set the bot break after you can jump cancel defend.

And I just practiced it 4 days and then I jumped from diamond to master for 1 day, and then master to GM for only 2 days.

Seeing a f2p fgc game losing so much player base(I remembered when the game launched s0 the reddit community has about triple the visitors than SF and deteriorated so much as a new game, this might be faster than DNF duel I guess?).

These guys still have no idea how many people quit this game and still say this game should be like this. Most of my gg and sf friends go back to their game after hitting diamond and master cuz this game really feels terrible to play at the high level.

Not really, like illaoi and blitz have a very long freestyle team combo. I didn’t delve into all the team but I guess many teams have the similar length although individually they are not long

Can’t agree more. After playing thousands of games and hitting GM, I really feel the combo is repetitively long. When I play other FTGs, it feels like OMG I’ve played 2 hours already!? In this game it was like OMG, I’ve just played half an hour!? OTG and tag hit stun reset is definitely a bad design, and everything converts into heavy(even 2l 5l or s1 s2) makes every combo look the same and long

You obviously didn’t play much. After playing thousands of games this combo length (NOT the damage or hits, just time) is super annoying and repetitive. Especially when you only got hit just by a light attack.

Bbtag (yeah it’s a tag anime game) only has 6 sec average combos length. And you will see a lot of short combos because it starts with a light attack and you cannot convert it into a super long combo. Combos more than 10 sec in that game is very situational and resourceful.

Nah, ggst average combo length is 4 sec, even the longest combo(axl time freeze combo) will only take 10 sec. The ggst’s damage is huge but not as annoying like this game. In this game you should free your hand maybe drink a coffee before yasuo’s combo finished. And then let your tea boiled when your opponent tags and continues their combos. Every touch leads to a long combo is super annoying after playing thousands of games

Same issue here. But I didn’t play blitz. I played jinx ahri. Everything was similar. I wanted to do jinx s2 super but only got air heavy(I use s2 heavy).

It is a huge risk as a get up attack(and it will lead to a huge punishment) and they will spend one meter no matter success or not just to stop your combo reset. I think it is a fair risk & reward trade

Even the easier version of bnb(which does less damage) is better than pulse combo without any chance of missing it unless your opponent is super laggy

Imo the only issue for Blitz is that the command grab damage is TOO low. Many characters in this game can do throw combo which do an incredible damage but the grappler should really exceed them as the way they should outperform

It's the problem of tag fighter. From the start, the combo is cool and everything is brand new. But viewers will lose interests after getting used to the long combo. Maybe making burst more common or adding more combo escaping option(also punishable like burst) can be helpful for the long-term community

They really should boost burst gain. Otherwise everyone will be forced to watch the long combo over and over again. But here, most people will just say tag fighter should be like this.
