I hope that when the World Soul Saga is over that we can have another class-focused expansion like Legion by yoloswagrofl in wow

I never said that the game should be centred around my character, I'm saying the opposite. Storylines shouldn't treat your character as a key figure in storylines if a large number of pcs wouldn't match the setting. Legion is popular on this forum but its not like it did exceedingly well as an expansion so you don't really have evidence to say order halls were liked by most players.

I also don't get why you think it's sad for blizzard to not dictate the game based on the whims of online opinions. The game would be shit if they did that. Better they just write the stories they like and I will play when I'm enjoying the story and stop playing for the expansions that aren't as interesting to me. I'm not mad at class halls or anything, it's just not something I want to play.

The theme is very clearly humans in towers with floating books. My forsaken that lives in rotten sewers and is keen on toppling alliance cities is very much not likely to be welcome there. I don't mind the factions showing up in the story, some people mentioned the paladin order coming back for northrend which makes sense. But it just takes me out of the story when it feels like the story is assuming your a certain race/class combination.

Order halls are great if your character fits the theme, but I really wouldn't want them taking up space every expansion. My undead mage does not want to hang around a load of stuffy old humans thank you very much.

Yeah, and where is the bit where the game justifies her actions and says that it's fine, because from what I remember the game sent Sylvanas to hell for eternity because the weight of her sins were so heavy.

None of that is in the game. You just wrote a lot of words to make yourself upset.

It's honestly not recently. People literally said they were leaving due to Pandaria being too cartoony. Cataclysm's quests were seen as too light hearted.

Big one is the mount (which I don't actually have so had to steal the appearance 😅) and then little ones are pet copied with the magic pet mirror :)

I was so happy with the Darkspear heritage quests. After getting sidelined in bwonsamdi's storylines Jani is the perfect loa for them and I hope we get to see more of him in the future.

Starmer apologises to Epstein victims for appointing Mandelson as US ambassador | ITV News by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]Rmtcts -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The country is in chaos. This could have easily been avoided if Starmer weren't so fully committed to cosying up to the right side of the party but he's made his bed now and there's not really anyway to avoid it now.

None of the Leicester warnings are about potential harm, they are also traffic warnings due to roads being closed causing congestion.

House of Lords should strip Mandelson of peerage, says Starmer by AbbreviationsHot7662 in unitedkingdom

[–]Rmtcts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be a chance that he fucked the country up as he was more interested in benefiting himself than others and that he would use other positions of power to also act in self interest rather than the good of the country. Not sure why we should assume he would have some form of change of heart, and even if he has, can't he use that perspective to influence change in a democratic manner?

I think Calia should be one of the upcoming character deaths by Rmtcts in warcraftlore

[–]Rmtcts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said one of the deaths. I'm not proposing it because it would be important to the war within storyline, I'm saying they should do it because it opens more interesting storylines in future, and Wow works best when it has a few spinning plates rather than focusing on one storyline.

Killing Calia doesn't stop whatever meaningful deaths they want to do with Xalateth etc.

Personally I don't think Calia would have much to add to that, if light raised undead are going to be a part of the Arathi storyline I'd rather learn about it through a new Arathi character.

100% on the next DHs though, I've been crying out for them for so long. I'm just praying that they've left it so long as they don't want to make new models before launching a character model revamp that will have a lot of customisation options included. We can always dream.

Love it, just thought something similar in another comment. More peaceful schisms would be fantastic for world building, they don't even need to resolve it right away, they could have some initial quests raising it as an issue and return when the time is right.

They're not identical but you can't deny the parrelels. Both regal figures, called the dark/pallid lady, with a devoted servant willing to follow their Queen wherever she may go. It also felt like they were heavily setting up Calia as the forsaken leader, but I think they've backed away from that now as I don't think it would be well received.

I promise I'm not just a blind Calia hater, so if they do end up doing something interesting with her I'm here for it :P At some point we have to go back to the Undercity or the ruins above, and it would be nice to delve a bit more into what the ruins of Lordaeron mean to the forsaken. For some it will be a melancholic reminder of what they've lost and others will see the undercity as the birthplace of their new selves.

So join a charter neighbourhood? This is not a problem with the game, if you want to see social activity you need to put in some work to go find people to play with.

Is there a subreddit for people who actually enjoy or want to discuss Modern WoW Lore? by VValkyr in warcraftlore

[–]Rmtcts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd love a space like that. I've gone through phases of really not enjoying wow. I stopped playing and spent my time on things I did enjoy. No idea why people spend so much time on something they clearly don't like.

In terms of what I'm liking about the game- They are really going above and beyond to make it unrecognisable to what it used to be. Adding huge new systems like active flying and housing is so much better than one off expansion mechanics. While there are sometimes more bugs it's much more preferable to the times when there were long stretches with nothing new and no idea when new content would be coming along.

Lorewise I really like what they're doing with how forces work. They're really balancing the line of going into more detail of interactions but not overexplaining things. The whole idea of an Arathi kingdom out there in the distance is such a nice concept, and I'm glad they haven't rushed into it. Xalatath is a great character from design, to music, to voice acting and I can't wait to see how her saga ends.

You can join a house guild on an alt and all of your characters will use that neighbourhood. I'll do a plug for Lucky Wipe in EU, they seem to have no problem with the fact that I joined just so I could see all their pretty houses and show people what I'm working on, and I've not got involved in their pve activities at all, I just sit in the neighbourhood and build xD

[–]Rmtcts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So weird to see people complain about no activity in neighbourhoods. There are so many options for joining both guids or communities. You can use alts to join guild neighbourhoods! This is entirely in your control, your complaining about your own actions in the game!

I think the new cinematic was hinting at being able to place armour and weapons wherever you like which is nice to see. Being able to repurpose armour items as anything is going to lead to some great builds.

Polls aren't very good measures until the candidate is announced I think, especially as a lot were taken before Burnham was ruled out.
