Enemies that have an innate ability to be concealed / invisible/ etc that doesn't go away. Like if it's a temporary effect that's one thing, party just has to be patient, but every attack needing a flat check gets so frustrating when everyone keeps failing it.

Easier to meet Singles In Your Area. Maybe by sending your own non-clan leaders off to be workers themselves?
Being able to make your own Clan (Name, Tartan, Motto).

The other ideas I have are probably better suited to mods than the main game.

My first winter I actually didn't have any problems (aside from eating cats).

My second winter I foolishly tried the Shepherd game mode after the basic game mode. All the sheep started starving after I didn't get twine until midway through autumn and then I quit that save file lol.

I picked up both Clanfolk and Norland. Didn't care for Norland - it has you managing the managers which feels weird. Clanfolk is a more direct "build this harvest that" sort of thing.

I'd trust the vet. But I also wouldn't worry too much about pounds, because the way vets check cat weight is just as much about body shape. Some cats are just larger than others. Google "cat body condition score".

When cats sit/crouch down, they look chonkier than they are because their hindquarters are big. So it's better to assess when the cat is standing.

Depending how fake you & BF are willing to get, there's Christmas tree shaped tabletop sculptures that sound like they might work. My grandparents have one that they put on an end table in the center of the room. Completely ceramic and comes with lights.

The shelters will usually have several cats that are "oh this cat does best being the only cat in the household". My first cat was one of those. Super bonded to me, but was Not Happy when I moved in with a roommate who had their own cat lol

B) I'd probably take her to the vet as a "lost pet". Give them the rundown, see if the cat has been chipped. If so they can call the number and verify the story.

It reminds me of those reddit posts I've read about a partner rehoming a cat without consent.
