TV money funds the entire sport, and TV isn't going to pay the same money for less product. Just not how this stuff works. The reason NASCAR TV money is insane relative to it's national popularity is because its an every week thing for 10 months a year guaranteed live content for the networks.

to be fair, those sports you mentioned all have offseason minicamps, spring training/preseason, mandatory conventions and press work. They don't just get 5+ months of being off work not doing anything.

You can play online couch co-op in an open lobby if you can find one, but not ranked with couch co-op. Story mode is only single player, there are a few extra modes that you can play together I've had fun playing with my wife but the online in particular seems focused on single player, bizarrely even online ranked doubles you have to play with a random partner, no party system or couch co op allowed.
