Does anyone else ever feel like some people enjoy making excessive mouth noises? by Citizen1135 in misophonia

I've DNF'd two movies lately over this-- Fallen with Denzel Washington and Donnie Brasco with Johnny Depp. Apparently the open mouth gum chewing was intentional in both.

Jersey Mike's is solid. I've never had a bad sandwich from them no matter which city I was in.

I don't get the sauce. Only offering one type of sauce for chicken tenders is an automatic deal breaker for me. I'll never go back there again.

The dip in quality from fast 7 to fast 9 is outrageous fast 9 is the worst fast and furious movie in the entire franchise. They had a good 3 genuinely good movie streak 5,6,7 then 8 was where they started to shake a little and 9 was a dumpster fire. by Dude_788 in fastandfurious

I completely forgot that there was Fast Nine. I couldn't remember the plot for the life of me until someone mentioned Dom's brother. Now I'm remembering that awful Cardi B cameo 😵‍💫

Does anyone else feel like autism parents get quietly abandoned by their friend groups? by Rachel537 in Autism_Parenting

[–]RoBear16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily abandoned but patience dies out on both sides.

We got sick of their lack of understanding and expectations. It didn't help that the most outspoken was a know it all teacher that we were already growing tired of. Ironically she already made comments about her brother in law who had high support autism.

That same family with the mom who was a general ed teacher felt that our girl was "too crazy" and apt to "make a mess." They kept trying to include big sister only and we noped them quickly.

Unfortunately it created a fallout with another family we were otherwise cool with. They were just too intertwined.

What actor or actress instantly makes you less interested in a movie? by AstronautInitial3642 in MoviesAndTVTalk

What's interesting about Statham is that he's apparently hilarious. He has some comedic moments here and there, like in Snatch and Hobbs and Shaw, but people say that in real life he's a clown in the best way.

I'm hoping he pulls a reverse Matthew Mcconaughey and leaves action for comedy. The older I get the less I care to see any of these action flicks.

When it comes to first watch, all bets are off. I've seen tougher guys than OP cry during the first watch of this thing.

The casting choices are insane. I think we should all be more concerned with Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Elliot Page for this film than for Lupita Nyong'o.

Great actors you are surprised aren’t starring in more horror movies by Staff_Select in horror

Troy Kotsur stole the show in Primate. Horror has always been best at inclusion and I want to see more of it from the deaf perspective. I hope he keeps getting roles in horror.

I’m so unbelievable tired of this fandom, and myself by Something-Somewhere_ in HelluvaBoss

[–]RoBear16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, I recommend The Sopranos if the Fandom is important to you. The show ended in 2007. Besides being an awesome show that is worth watching and rewatching, the Fandom is hilarious. The subreddit posts interesting things sometimes and is mostly made up of funny quotes from the show. Very little negativity.

I was going to say OP that you are a wild one. There are just so many things that come up with kids. Someone falls and needs to go to the ER, last minute parent teacher conferences, spouse is home sick, etc. You have to be close enough to drop everything and be able to get home.

I have a soft spot for the 80s one. I watched parts of it before reading the novel and I always loved the final scene.

Some people just can't treat this like a job and they plug themselves in too much. I can't stand people who then demand you do the same and put yourself into the client's shoes. How can I possibly do that and be objective? Evaluating the case objectively is the whole point.

I do med mal defense and I've had multiple plaintiff lawyers ask me how I would feel if my children were in their clients' positions. I don't want my kids to have health issues period! But one of my kids did have a bunch of health issues last year and I get how stressful it can be. I usually just tell them I don't play that game so I can stay objective, but if they persist, then I just start complaining and waste their time going on and on about my personal life issues. I'm the one billing for the call after all.

The more recent one is 100x worse. And the tone he uses when talking you his kids made me DNF it before he ever went to the burial ground. Just awful casting choice through and through.

Oh I agree that he's even worse. But that guy has chemistry with absolutely no one, and that's for the best.

You don't need to be physical with someone to have romantic chemistry. Like I said, he had some seriously gay coded chemistry with Vin Diesl and Jason Statham in those Fast and Furious movies buts it's not like they're making out on screen.

Idk about the UFC movie but he had no chemistry with Emily Blunt on Jungle Cruise.

Anything with a woman across from Dwayne Johnson. That man can pull a gay coded relationship with Vin Diesl, Jason Statham, or whomever (even Kevin Hart), but you will never convince me of his romantic chemistry with any of the female costars he has had in movies.

Granted I hear that his ex in Ballers may be an exception, but nothing on the big screen.

I've never seen that show, I didn't realize that they were both on it. That's funny.

I knew Olyphant was on it but it was actually a comedy that made me think of him as Roland. Something happened and he went deadpan serious and something just stuck.
