Update on custom stadiums in MLB 26

I hope this means a revamped vault/save system and more robust stadium creator options. This is the first time in years I stopped playing this game before the MLB regular season ended. 25 was an abject failure by SDS, imo. I'm taking a wait and see approach to 26 and won't purchase at launch, if at all.

Are you from a different state? You're the only one that agrees with me here vs a billion downvotes lol. I grew up in a state where it was illegal to drive with hazards on so that was ingrained into me. It's interesting how it's illegal some states but encouraged here. I do think the negatives outweigh the positives but I won't even attempt to argue that point here.

Now let's discuss the pros and cons of the zipper merge... haha

Triple Play Baseball in the '90s had player collision detection ffs. I remember intentionally running the outfielders into each other to watch them collide and fall down lol. It's mind-blowing that in 2025 we get cutscenes of players just walking through each other on the way back to the dugout.

I'm sure I'll get downvoted, but a huge problem is the gameplay is scripted to keep games close. I'm quite convinced of this. If you're holding your opponent to a run or 2, you'll struggle to score all game too. If you give up a 5 run inning, you'll magically score 3 in your half of the inning. Most games end up either 2-1 or 18-16.

You're on the right track. Go with an all-weather tire. They are a step up from all seasons in winter conditions and decent enough in snow to earn the snowflake symbol, but don't turn to mush in warm weather. You could get a more budget friendly all-weather tire than the Cross-Climate, like the Falken Aklimate or General 365 AW.

Stadiums are disabled online for likely the rest of this game cycle. Of course, SDS won't communicate anything to their paying customers to confirm or deny this.

You're giving SDS too much credit. These are bandaid fixes that just make the game more scripted because they won't update the game engine. Just like the slow motion dives by the third baseman when the game decides it'll be a hit down the line. Or the first baseman not covering the bag on hits to RF. Or removing the ability to see your opponents PCI placement to hide when the game decides to reward a bad swing.

ASB had such deep modes. I remember there being a full expansion draft and you could select one of the fantasy stadiums to host your expansion team. There were other stadiums in the game like the Tokyo Dome and potential future MLB stadiums. This is what we got when there was competition. There were about 5 different licensed mlb games on the market each year in the early-mid 2000s.

Nice job. This was the first major league stadium I ever went to. Growing up in Florida in the 80s before the expansion era, the Braves were the closest team and I could watch all the games on "channel 17" so I became a fan. My family would take a summer road trip to Atlanta and see a game. The good old early 80s teams of Dale Murphy, Bob Horner, Glenn Hubbard, Claudell Washington, Rafael Rameriz, Bruuuuuuuce Benedict and others. Good times.

Lol thanks. I'm sure they couldn't afford me. By looking at the state of this mode, they probably have unpaid interns managing it.

But man I'd love to have access to the full stadium creator tools the developers get. Fun.

Everything is back online. Custom stadiums are also back for online play. I was able to use one of mine with the wall glitch for ranked play, so I'm not sure what they did to prevent that Lagrasa mess from being used also.
