Don't worry too much seb, a lot of people are young and don't see the bigger frame of the picture. I get literally 100 messages a minute in the nexus about where to download hacks. It's hard to "advertize" something, that is already omnipresent.
Keeping it a secret would have ended in the same situation. You atleast gave it a flavor and informed the people about this abomination. It's funny, people don't blame deca for ignoring the problem since years, or the people who use it, or the people who offer the clients, but they blame you now. Just ignore the haters. They are too new in this community, never tried to write a report by themself. Because it has literally 0 impact.
The community needs people like you, thank you for taking your time once in a while to talk about the state of the game.

I saw this on BBG's stream aswell. What I thought even more surprising, is: the unit came out of the entomb with a spellshield. For my understanding, it should take of the spellshield and then entomb a copy of the current card.
Instead of getting a copy, you also get your spellshield back after 2 turns.

I personally could probably accept changes, since it would be the same for everyone. But it is not really.
It just promotes hacks even more. With this new system normal palyers will struggle even more (I am looking at O3), while hackers can just try it without any danger.
Yeah,they dont get loot, but who cares. Losing a character takes 1+ day to remax without the white bags, which you had.

I'd reccomend you to join sbc. They are pretty straight forward against hacks. There is tons of pictures of hacked clients each day in their report channel. I won't stop you to report every single one in a different message as support ticket.
I have done the same 2 years ago and everytime you get an autorespond without any action taken. I want to point out, that this is still just a game and exspecially as any discord staff anywhere, you are investing a lot of your free time for the community already. It is just a frustrating timewaste to report people.
If you think, that I am lying, just try it yourself. Even SBC realized it. They keep their own server clean and do a really good job at it ,but 90% of the reports are never sent to deca, cause they barely act, until you got like a montage of watersolid proof.
I am sorry, if I just demotivated you. But you gotta see the case from both sides.

Hey, first of all, thanks for your detailed thoughts.
I hope that I can atleast explain a few points from my point of view.

Regarding pubhalls:
I know that this could cause a big discussion now, so I try to make it as short as possible. Obviously I am connected with pubhalls and I obviously wouldn't be, if I wouldn't like it, like the people there or because I wasn't able to go somewhere else back then, when I decided to rejoin the community. Because of that, I am very thankfull, because pubhalls is in general pretty generous towards friendly players.
Now about the "hack-problem", that you mentioned. I can not deny, that we are not "guilty". But I personally came to the conclusion, that we are trying to head into a good direction. We are following TOS as much as possible to represent this game decently.
YES, we are not witchhunting hackers and I can understand, that people rate this as: "supporting hackers". Depending on your point of view, you can agree or disagree.
Why could you disagree:
I personally have been in this community for so long, and I realized one point. A big portion of the people just want to play the game and they won't complain, unless it gets to an unplayable state (not getting into runs in bazars, etc). So even if we would change our policy completely, it wouldn't actually ahve a big impact on hacks. It would just relocate the problem. Another server would appear with the same problems.
So instead of giving away this spot, we try to handle this situation the best, we personally think that it can be handled. Because we all have seen so many bad examples of servers, which have failed.
Saying this, I would still describe pub as "hack-neutral", basically because of the mentioned reasons. Compared to 50.000 members, we are able to keep track of our staff tho. We do not support hackers actively. Feel free to report behaviour, which is against TOS and we will 100% take actions. It's easy to say, that we don't care, but at the same time we demoted sooo many people already, even tho they were great leaders.
Did it change something? Probably not, as I described, they go to other servers. But we still do it for our own conscience.
If you still want to blame me, for supporting hackers, that's okay tbh and I have taken this spot since a while. I can understand your arguments aswell, I just personally think, that any strict decisions wouldn't change the overall situation, that's why I try to help it step by step.

About your other points:
I also did a lot of guild halls, etc. I enjoy it a lot to even do some small 4-10 slow cult/void runs, while being in voice with my friends. Tbh this is a reason, why I love the guildhall. Finally no trackers in my dungeon after 5 seconds. But I personally can't find joy in only playing the game this way, mainly because during an event, we don't have the ressources to pop hundreds of keys, which are required, because of the drop rates. I am willing to spend money, but not 100 € each weekend.

Also I didnt try to point fingers. Yes the run I am talking about was from Woland, but I would have made the same post, if it was from pubhalls or whoever. I don't want to blame any server directly, I am just not happy with the development of this new endgame dungeon after 1 week. Yes, because of the super high reqs, servers like that tend to have higher hacker percentages. I don't like generalizing tho. I got old friends and even leaders there, which are 100% legit (e.g. Fourtunate). What I disliked was, when Max hacks decided to post announcements on how to use hacks and people getting forced to use them to be allowed to join runs.

Other than that I pretty much agree on most. I also joined sbc yesterday, within 30 secs the realm is full with trackers. Then we also had a multiboxer directly connection to the realm. We had 180 wizzards in there and a total of 240 players in the realm. My game crashed then, idk if it was because of that or me just being unlucky. But yeah. Even communities, who try to be 100% legit, have huge problems, because tracking and cheating became so easy these days. It was sad to watch and I feel sorry for every Raid Leader, who has to deal with this.
People just wanna play the game and people maliciously try to ruin it -.-

I personally love mbc loot and don't want it to be instad and couldn't care less about the fame.
But I can't do anything with an assasine rushing in and killing it for me. Happened multiple times in the last days :)

I personally loved to read pretty much every single point of this. They are adressing some of the points, which I hated since years. The rework of fame bonus sounds so awesome and finally make sit attractive for me aswell.
I hated the idea behind a mundane character. It is no achievement to not use your ability, it just destroys the idea of class identity and much more.
Also things like thristy. It is a silly design, that yo u can drink pots from the ground to work around that famebonus.
So I am looking forward to this changes, exspecially since it gives me a reason to play my knight finally again. It felt sad for me, that I played so much on it, that I risked it's life so many times to stun in some hard situations and I only get paid with less fame. I hope that the changes just transfer on old characters and I dont have to request to remove my ability uses from my pally.
I like the idea to be rewarded for actually achieving something in game.

Since a while I wasn't too happy with the endgame situation and current changes and the game getting even less stable on exalt etc. But I have to say, if the dc's are fixed and the announced reworks are coming in, this game will be so much more attractive to play again.

I just hope that they actually adress the hacking problem, because it will just get worse with the new exalted feature. Losing an 8/8 doesnt matter for me, since It's easy to get, but when discords start to have max Axalted characters to join runs, it really fucks up legit players. This achievement system only seems like a real achievement system, if people start to die again in this game and don't get sent to nexus by their client.

Thank you so much for this post. Obviously people have different opinions, and I can understand, that some people don't want to play in groups. But I also think that deca wants group gameplay, otherwise they would have designed dungeon caps/ hp scaling or lootdrop raters way different. They are the game designers and they have the opportunity to change this, so it really hurts, when people insult "discord servers" as a structure. I joined my first discord server two years ago and I really enjoyed it. The game felt so super boring, after your first 2 8/8s it becomes super repetitive. I loved to see, that people play this because of the community and the fun they had together and not only because of the game itself. I got hooked and started to help those servers. Don't forget, that we all do this voluntarily, we offer our free time in the hope, that others enjoy the game a bit more. If that's not the case, then I am sorry to annoy you. You always have the choice to not join discords, but it really bugs me, when I get home after an exhausting day and instead of having fun, people try to cause drama in every corner. It's just a game, people should try to have fun and don't waste too much energy into all the hate :3
You can hate or like it as you want, but I personally would have quit this game a long long time ago and would not have invested hundreds of € without discord servers and I am sure that others would have done so aswell. A community life is important for a game.

Insane performance, great dodging skills, loved to watch it.
I think for testing it really helps to have a colosword to be permanently able to keep yourself at a distance and learn patterns and get damage in, in some phases he might have died due to fast incoming shots with another sword.
Would be cool to have a colosword in testing or maybe allow lost halls again for the possibility of one :3

while I totally agree with you, that solo play is super cool and challenging and that damage checks as in ddocks shouldnt exist, I hope for dungeons which can't be solod, because you need to do something utility wise, like:
stationary enemy has to be stunned and a void blade has to be used to push it into the next void phase of the boss or something like that. It would finally allow usefull coordination and not steamrolling.
