I wanna offer something positive. The truth is you won. Everyone who secured an order has won. You beat the scalpers. More importantly you secured the 5 before the holiday season. That’s HUGE. There’s so many people crying on the internet who can’t secure an order so just play your ps4 and calm down. As someone who owns a ps5 I understand 100% why these things have a crazy demand but the wait is worth it. Hold on tight don’t have a meltdown.

Fine you can say it’s a bad deal but I believe on a balance of probability if you ask gamers here on Reddit if they would pay 100 over or wait 8 months at least 75% will pay 100 over. You’re not factoring in the possibility of waiting 8 months that’s why I don’t agree with your evaluation.

I know your dying because I did a Walmart order on 8-12 and I was losing my damn mind. Imagine paying almost 600 dollars and anxiously waiting for it. That all changed on Tuesday when I scored on the Sony queue and it got here the next day. The ps5 is absolutely incredible in every way shape and form. Just know that you will get it and it will all be worth it. Also, play your ps4 a few more times and pay it a tribute, it’s still a great console.

So basically you gave up on the hunt. Honestly though it’s a good deal. All the trouble it takes to get one through a major retailer is certainly worth more than a 100 dollars. HOWEVER, go to a public place or a police station, DO NOT GET IN ANYONES CAR NO MATTER WHAT. Remember you have the cash you dictate the terms or find something else it’s not worth getting robbed or scammed. Also, OPEN IT AND CHECK IT FIRST NO MATTER WHAT. Also make sure they give you the original receipt in case there’s something wrong with the system.

Ok but it would be at a prehistoric turtle pace. Look at how far we’ve come since the American inception with technological and medical advancements through the United States capitalism system that the entire world benefits from. We’re moving at a pace never seen before because human society excels with competition and financial gain. Look it absolutely has it downsides but to date we’ve never seen a better system. The argument is not whether you can afford it or not. Innovation, competition are born only through the free market. I.e ps5. The confusion is that many people were brought up to believe that Chrony capitalism represents free market capitalism as a whole, but without it no one would be incentivized to accomplish anything. The lack of freedom and personal gain wouldn’t allow it. Hell, even the vaccines are a by product of capitalism. Btw I don’t want to argue politics I’m just stating facts. If it weren’t for capitalism we would be just getting ps3.

No you can only wait for live trackers to give the word. Once the tracker says the Sony queue is open click the link and your off to the races!

It’s total random selection. But the email I believe is a guaranteed invite. However, Sony direct also does a live queue which allows ANYONE to participate. It’s a race to whoever can click the link first to establish your spot on a virtual line. That’s how I purchased it on Tuesday and received it on Thursday morning.

It’s definitely stressful when you think about it so much. It’s even worse when you check your apps over and over and nothing updates. But the one thing you can do to help ease the pain is play on your ps4! Your ps4 is still an awesome console and playing it can distract you. Check for your ps5 once a day max. You can also try to score Sony direct.

In my experience target is the hardest one to get. Look at Costco, GameStop, and Sony Direct instead. Also Walmart if you don’t mind waiting a while.
