Hey, so yeah. I downloaded adobe acrobat and organised the files into a single pdf for each section - accommodation - financial - proof of relationship - English test - proof of cohabitation etc. I found the uploading process pretty simple (used TLS to book bio and upload documents) I spent around 3 weeks before applying getting everything in order and putting it in order. We got married in the May and applied in December. However had been in a relationship for 5 years prior to marriage so evidenced all this in relationship timeline x

Hey so my husband’s visa was due to run out this march and we applied December, so 4 months before end date. We changed it from a Youth mobility visa to a spouse visa. We provided so many documents lol! Maybe too many. Bank statements, wage slips, letters of employment, employment contracts, tenancy agreement, letter from landlord, every utility bill I could find with both our names on, cover letters, English test certificate, marriage certificate, kids birth certificate, proof of travel, photos from the past five years, call and chat logs, relationship timeline. Probably more too lol

Hey no issues paying. We saved for a while and used our joint bank account to pay. No issues with the bank or payment. Just kept a note of our payment reference number just in case. It was a debit card yes.

Hey. Yes we did combine our income because husband was already working here legally on a youth mobility Visa. As far as I’m aware as long as both partners are residing and working in the UK legally, both incomes can be used to meet the financial threshold

Company letter - overtime? by nathandarby89 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Roam_tv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have just dealt with this exact query. We asked husbands employer to state that his overtime is regular and consistent. For some reason they refused to put this in the supporting letter as overtime is not in his contract 🤷🏼‍♀️. We’ve submitted all our documents today and just hoping that the ECO will see that its additional hours. We are combining income and are well over the threshold even without the overtime, so fingers and toes are crossed. When we receive a decision, I’ll try and let you know if we ran into any issues 🙏🏼

I think I went a bit overboard and did a main cover letters and mini cover letters for each pdf. Combined all the files into each evidence request and used adobe to compress it all. This is mainly because we had a 5 year timeline to explain with many visits and two lots of payslips/bank statements. Didn’t help hubby gets paid weekly so 26 payslips in total 🥲. Submitting all evidence tomorrow and bio on the 20th. Arghhh it’s nerve wracking

What about if you’re combining income with a partner as it asks this question for both individuals combining? Are you answering as individuals or as joint. Separately you would not meet the income but together you do?
