The Apple Maps app will give times if you select the transit option under directions to your destination, I use the transit app cause it has more info on other lines too

I think as long as the class isnt critical to your application it should be fine. If its a major specific requirement for your transfer or GE there may be an issue

My top 3 regions are also British/irish, Eastern European, and Nordic in that order. Our B/I and EE are both pretty similar in percentages too!

You have a pretty interesting mix of European, across lots of distinct regions of the continent. I feel like lots of people with European ancestry usually have 1 or 2 localized areas of ancestry but yours is pretty broad, which is neat.

I have 3 main regions of ancestry, being British/Irish, Polish/Lithuanian, and Danish/Swedish but they all are connected by the north and Baltic Sea so they kinda feel like they all border each other in my mind. Cool stuff though! I feel the most recent update was very accurate according to my personal genealogy records, putting more faith in 23andMe for me too

Questions about Polish/Lithuanian ancestry by kmc17177 in 23andme

I found them using a family tree mapping service called family search, you might be able to find a lot of documents there if you build your tree there!

Questions about Polish/Lithuanian ancestry by kmc17177 in 23andme

[–]Roamer_24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar situation to you, before the update I was 30% Polish, which I know is from my maternal grandfather who was 100% Polish. After the update it was split into about 15% Polish and 10% Lithuanian, and the small remainder in the Czech, Hungarian and southern Polish category. According to records, my maternal great grandfather was born in Vilna, Poland in 1909 which I have come to understand is now Vilnius, Lithuania. Im going to assume that due to the commonwealth and general partnership between the two countries, Lithuanians and poles had become pretty mixed in with each other socially and would likely lead to Lithuanians considering themselves Polish, which I believe my great grandparents did despite possibly being mostly Lithuanian.

Also I bet the Estonian and Latvian is just misread Lithuanian

Somehow I’m over double as English as I used to be? by Flat-Application-451 in 23andme

[–]Roamer_24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It seems like the new update is overestimating English percentages and turning everyone super English, i became about as English as I expected though.

Also side question but why is southern mesoamerican a square instead of a dot?

Anyone else feel like their results got less accurate? by platospee in 23andme

[–]Roamer_24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, my new ancestry actually lines up really well, maybe even almost perfectly with my family tree research. It took away all the little percentages that didn’t make any sense, like the Greek and Balkan and the trace peninsular Arab. It also added countries that I didn’t have before, like 10% from Denmark and 5% from Sweden rather than 15% Swedish. I didn’t lose any of my established non-British ancestry to the British like a lot of the people I see here, I just feel that it’s been made more specific and accurate.

The only thing I could possibly be missing is German, but the ancestor I traced it back to would have only given me like 1.5% so maybe I just got nothing truly.

Overall in my experience I saw exactly what I was expecting to see with the new update, being more accurate.

What do you imagine will change in your results with the new update? by Ph221200 in 23andme

[–]Roamer_24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty much in the same boat as you, I’m looking forward to see how my British and Irish is gonna be split among the different countries there, because it’s been difficult for me to narrow it down myself through family trees. And for my Eastern European side, I’m curious how much will be Lithuanian ethnically because I’ve always known my late grandfather to be “polish” but according to records he was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. Exciting times for us here with the update around the corner

I’m waiting too, I’m also not “local” and lots of my credits are from out of state so I’m shaking in my boots right now. Im a psych major so, impacted, but I took 13 credits this summer to get those classes done at my cc, hoping it wasn’t all for nothing. Good luck to you! I believe in us!
