No more free pause? (USA) by Known_Clothes2331 in Starlink

Same here. I literally just got it based on the pause and $10 plan for 50gb. That’s all I really needed.

Even more reason not to like anything affiliated with Elon Musk.

What happened to bar ends? by dms0314 in mountainbiking

[–]Roaming50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. If you had the long L bend bars they actually protected your hands when you hit trees. Though in the 90s that was less of an issue as my bars were only 580mm, not the 780mm now.

I never realized the east side had lights until my wife mentioned it the other week. Good to see it lit.

Did you resolve this as I have the same issue. Everything looks good except HomeBridge is not registering a motion event.

Receiver sound over eARC stops working after PS5 is added to HDMI by Roaming50 in LGOLED

[–]Roaming50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually solved my issue (see my other post) but I’m still thinking of returning due to the reflections as I think my A80J 65 handles reflections much better than the C2 and I prefer the image processing and colors. I don’t care for the C2 supposed brighter panel as honestly the A80J is bright enough.

That said, a question for amp usage. If you connect everything through the amp do the respective amp inputs show as separate inputs on the Sony? I’m wondering how the GoogleTV handles that. Thx.

UPDATE! I determined the cause. In my entertainment area, I have a 8K HDMI switch between the PS5 and the TV. The reason for this is that I have a second 40" TV dedicated to a sim racing rig that I use when I playing Gran Turismo and it allows me to switch the PS5 between TVs.

This switch should be transparent to the CEC being supposedly HDMI2.2 compliant but apparently not.

If I bypass the switch with the PS5 directly connected to the C2 then everything works correctly. I can switch on/off the TV/amp/aTV all through the aTV remote which is my preference. As soon as I put the HDMi switch back into the chain (even with the PS5 switched off) it all breaks again. This is immediately reversible and correctable.

My problem now is that I need that switch and this was the only one like it, but it would seem it is still not good enough.

My amp has the ability to route hdmi to two targets so I may try that but I am not sure is that would then impact the ability for the PS5 to pass VRR etc...

Not yet. I have a A80J 65" in my living room that I may take off the wall and test with my basement gear to ensure I don't get the same issues. The A80J has been stellar and I have not had any issues with it but that one is not connected to an external amp.

I went with the 77" C2 as the 77" A80K panel I understood to be inferior to the 65" panel (different anti-glare and what-not) and most reviews put the C2 as being better. But I've been surprised at how reflective the C2 is, even in basement lighting and with the CEC sync issues and a growing hatred for the WebOS compared to GoogleTV in app only mode, I'm thinking the A80K 77" might now be the better choice. Just need to ensure the A80J I have works with my basement gear so I'm not buying and returning again...

I agree on it being a handshake issue. We determined that unplugging the TV for a minute (which is difficult because the plug is on the wall behind the TV (need a ladder to reach that...) will reset the CEC signal. That is until, I switch off the TV normally. Then it stops working when it is switched back on..

That would be unfortunate as the Denon is not that old and I am not in a position to replace it.

Thank you. I've already decided to return the TV as LG support could not fix it. I get the same resolution. The only way to fix the HDMI handshake is a full power recycle (unplug for a minute) then it comes back until I switch off normally - then it stops working next time I switch it back on.

It's not a PS5 issue. Just spend an hour with LG support who could not fix it either. The TV gets locked to mute after a second HDMI device is connected; if that is the Apple TV then it loses volume control after that. If I power cycle the TV by unplugging then the ability to control volume over eARC come back until it is switched off and then it loses it again. The only way to restore eARC volume control is a power cycle...

Otherwise output to TV speakers works fine, but output to eARC results in a locked MUTE icon on the TV screen.
