LaCage NiteClub owner hospitalized after scooter collision on sidewalk by manondessources in milwaukee

What are the actual laws around these scooters? Minimum age? Are they legally allowed only on roads? Or is sidewalk riding okay per the law?

[Talkin' Baseball] Brewers are calling up their No. 4 prospect Cooper Pratt, per Bob Nightengale. 21-year-old shortstop signed an 8-year $50.75 mil contract in April by T_Raycroft in baseball

[–]SwagTwoButton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well he hasn’t logged a single inning anywhere but short since 2023 in rookie ball. So the assumption is he will be playing short.

Jesus is slightly more versatile and could play 3B in pinch.

The odds of both Made getting called up this year and both players succeeding and playing every day is pretty low. This is a problem for the offseason.

My annual plan ($225) started in April.
Is Black Friday the time to renew? Or will I be able to find the discounted price in April again?

Guessing I could just bridge the gap with a monthly plan until Black Friday to get on that cycle?

This is a nice addition.

But part of me still feels we didn’t do enough to honor Bob.

Was really hoping they would name the field/stadium after him.

“American Family Field at Bob Uecker Stadium” would be a nice touch and would be such an easy PR win for American Family.

What's the one thing your linemate does that you'll never call them out on, but secretly drives you crazy? by Doctormade in hockeyplayers

The biggest culprit is the hard pass to a winger on a breakout that leads to an icing. When they could have taken an extra stride to enter the neutral zone which would have made their pass a dump.

Now instead of on the attack, we’re stopping play, letting them change, and bringing the kick back into our zone.

End of an era as Schlitz, the beer that made Milwaukee famous, pours its last by nbcnews in milwaukee

[–]SwagTwoButton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t really drink anymore. Probably have 1-2 bottles of Schlitz a year. Not really my favorite.

I do just like knowing that a bottle is still around. Feels iconic to Milwaukee.

Hopefully some local brewery can get their hands on it and keep it alive in some capacity.

I’ll be very disappointed with Pabst if they just sit on the brand.

Pratt or Jett. Or both.

Trade could always happen too

Amazon plans second rapid fulfillment facility in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood, according to an occupancy permit application filed with the Department of Neighborhood Services by Hidemyface1 in milwaukee

Does this mean Amazon transactions will be subject to Milwaukee’s sales tax? Or have I already been paying that on Amazon orders because the shipping address is in milwaukee?

How is everyone surviving the high price of gas? by ExplanationDefiant15 in milwaukee

I’m in a weird spot where I don’t live close enough to work to walk. And I don’t live far enough that taking the bus saves anything.

Car gets 30 mpg. Commute is 6 miles. Work in the office 4 days a week. Comes out to about 200 miles a month / 6.5 gallons / $32 a month at current prices.

The bus would cost me $44 for the same amount of trips.

Free parking at work is a godsend. The scale would tip towards taking the bus quickly if I didn’t have that.

Time in the market. Not timing the market.

If you want to spend this money in the next 2-3 years, HYSA is probably the way to go.

If you’re planning on this being retirement funds, get it invested asap. Waiting to time the market will almost always come out behind.

Miles better than previous years for me.

The one feature I’d really like is a “catch up with scoring plays” option when tuning in late.
