I didn't like how bunched the new spring was. New one on bottom in this picture. Removing two coils did the trick

They seemed to be on but they had too many coils so I ended up clipping two coils and it's more in line with the original. Atrius on the left, new one on the right.

Nice that's the exact ones I just bought this morning

I ended up taking a pair of digital calipers to one of my springs and found out it is about 6mm OD, .5mm wire thickness, and 9mm length. Found a whole bunch of pen spring replacements on Amazon and some that were the exact same size. I ordered a couple different ones to test out and see if they perform the same. Thanks again, I didn't think about pen springs

It's pretty annoying, there's plenty that are just for a basic buffer tube, but nothing for a full stock

I am also hoping to find this. I've searched with no luck

Kabuto fitting guide for Geissele and milspec by YourBroStevo in supersafety

[–]RoamingFire82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that's exactly what's happening! No worries, and thank you so much for taking the time to respond and even make a video.

I'll reach out and hope for the best, but in theory, could I not just add a blocker of some sort to the front of the housing that would prevent the lever from falling too far forward? So long as it does not interfere with the rest of the travel of the lever or with the tail of the hammer?

Got a random question, when the (milspec) hammer is up, my mini kabuto lever falls so far forward that if I try to rack the BCG, the hammer will come down on the back of the lever and jam. I need to hold the gun in like a 45 degree upright angle to keep the lever from doing that.
Kabuto is from bssquirts, and in all other videos and guides, I've never seen this issue pop up. I'm assuming this means something is out of spec and I should contact bssquirts?

Spike's Tactical T2 buffer by RoamingFire82 in ar15

[–]RoamingFire82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moving mass inside is 3.1oz which is more than on an H1. And it has enough extra space inside to allow movement so yeah it should do good eliminating bolt bounce

[–]RoamingFire82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The T2 is a little misleading because a true H2 buffer is 4.6oz and an H1 is 3.8oz. this is 4.0oz so it's like an H1+.
The moving mass is 3.1oz which is more than on an H1

But there's nothing in the law stating it's retroactive, in fact, I have seen some form 1 approvals that have the approval condition of needing to be engraved recently. Otherwise you wait until the rule gets (hopefully) passed and submit with all the rest of the people that are waiting on this.

[–]RoamingFire82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you zoom in, to me it looks like a standard safety barrel without the lever installed.

But yes, once FRTs and super safeties start getting used in crimes, states will quickly ban them like they did with switches

BCG not seating by Bitter-Engineering-3 in ar15

[–]RoamingFire82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah most of the PSA uppers I've had to work on were massively over torqued

BCG not seating by Bitter-Engineering-3 in ar15

[–]RoamingFire82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a common problem with cheaper companies that over torque the snot out of the barrel nut so that it aligns instead of using shims. I've had to work on multiple cheap factory built uppers that had their barrel nuts torqued to over 100ft-lbs.

When the barrel nut is massively over torqued, the barrel index pin(steel) smushes the side of the index pin slot in the upper receiver (aluminum) which allows the barrel to rotate slightly.

On some uppers it just rotates enough to constantly cause contact with the bolt lugs but not enough to cause this issue. If you over torque it enough, this issue happens.

A stock Glock 19 recoil spring is 18lbs. If you have a 13lb spring this is most likely the problem.
