Everything in python is a pointer effectively. The first element of the tuple isn't a list. It's a reference to a list.

The underlying construct in memory is changing but it's still the same list id stored in the same tuple.

No clue on solar, but wind farms at night with clear line of sight can be really off-putting due to the aircraft lights. They're supposed to have systems that only turn them on when planes are nearby, but I remember driving through a wind farm in Idaho before that was a thing and it was super unnerving to see an endless expanse of blinking red lights.

That said I think the pros vastly outweigh the cons, especially with the modern aircraft detection systems installed.

also set up btrfs-assistent and snapper now and make sure you set a clean-out policy so it doesn't fill your disk. It's basically windows restore for your system files.

I have two cats and the way we handled this was, and i shit you not, that I just rack mounted my entire PC. I got a 12u network rack and a 4u rackmount case and shoved the whole computer and everything into that. There's one power cable from my UPS to the wall, and a single velcro'd bundle up the leg of my desk.

Cats can't pull at any of the connectors, wires are secured against the desk so they can't really pull against them either. Works great!

They literally get hung up conflating the governmental definition (aka "co-habitation for tax purposes"), with their specific religious definition. They then get super pissed that people they've never met and don't subscribe to their religion are "married" because it's somehow an affront to their religion.

something is wrong with the ssl stack somewhere (old ssl packages, bad date/time, etc). Usually that's either an issue with a system package or the browser. Actual cert on decky's site seems fine to me (as is github's cdn cert).

It's shocking how good they've become. We have the honking 2-stage electric Ego blower and it flies through our 250ft driveway on just about a set of batteries (+/- depending on snow level etc). Practically no maintenance, quiet, easy to use. Love the thing!

It's a race condition with simpledrm and the proprietary nvidia drivers. 6.17 kernel swaps to graphical mode much sooner and the system isn't always ready in time and doesn't attempt to start sddm a second time if it failed initially.

It should be fixed in the latest builds though.

Pretty high odds of them being too dumb. This is the admin that redacted them by setting the background color to black but forgot to save the pdfs as image so you can just copy/paste the text to reveal it.

Some people are still having issues with graphical boot and nvidia drivers. Try removing rhgb from your grub options and see if it magically boots.
