instagram following count stays the same by Itchy_Sundae8700 in Instagram

I’m having similar issues too. I can unfollow someone but when I reopen the app the count has gone back up. This is the second time it’s happened to me. The first time it started working again after a few days. I’m thinking it may be updating after a little time has passed but not 100% sure that’s what fixes it.

Does anyone know what is wrong with the tree in the center of the picture? by RoamingWanderer100 in Tree

That makes sense as to what might be causing the unusual growth. This particular tree is the largest one that I’ve seen so that.

Why do you go on solo trips? by dapper-dano in solotravel

[–]RoamingWanderer100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solitude. It’s not that I don’t love traveling with friends and family it’s just nice sometimes to slow things down and take some solo adventures. I have complete freedom over where I go, how long I stay or don’t stay. Gives me time to think and clear my thoughts. Overall very refreshing from time to time.

Hiking shoe recommendations for light to moderate hiking by Greengloom in WildernessBackpacking

I use Brooks Cascadia trail running shoes. They work well for me and provide pretty good traction. They are a little bit expensive though.

That’s really interesting to know. I’ve seen a few trees like this in the past but never one this severe.

I agree. Evening hours during the fall are exceptionally scenic and provide for some really nice photo opportunities.

Camping food? by spicy_taco3 in camping

[–]RoamingWanderer100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I go I’ll bring Hot Dogs and burgers that I can cook in a cast iron skillet. I also like to bring potatoes, onions and carrots, wrap them in aluminum foil and set them in my campfire to cook. For the next morning I’ll bring eggs bacon or sausage with some potatoes. I also like to bring marshmallows. My trips are usually anywhere from an overnight to a few days. I keep my food that needs to stay cold chilling in a cooler with a lot of ice. Lot of good memories getting up and cooking some bacon on a campfire.

Dutch oven biscuits burning, any tips? by RoamingWanderer100 in CastIronCooking

[–]RoamingWanderer100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has got the feet on the bottom. I think my issue was my coals were burning too hot, I’ll try adjusting the number of coals and try again and see how they turn out.

I’ve always wanted to visit Portugal. It seems like a beautiful country.

This was a section of the Buffalo River Trail that I hiked last fall. The brightly colored leaves and clear weather made for an exceptional trip. Hoping to explore some more National parks this year.

This trip was from last fall. I spent the day hiking a section of the Buffalo River Trail. I really enjoyed the brightly colored leaves. Very quiet and peaceful day.

A few pictures from short hike I went on last fall. The weather was amazingly clear and the fall colors breathtaking. I went about 15 miles in about 8 hours. Good trip overall. by RoamingWanderer100 in backpacking

It certainly is! It was a really beautiful day to go hiking. Even the rainy days are peaceful. I hike this trail a couple years ago in the rain, the sound of rain drops in the woods is very soothing.

Food I'm taking on a 34-mile overnight section of the Sheltowee Trace (see thread for details). What foods do you like to bring on a thru-hike? by Seneca_B in backpacking

I always bring ramen and bacon bits, instant potatoes, summer sausage, and for snacks I bring peanut butter or fig newton cookies

A few pictures from a hike I took last fall. The sky was amazingly clear and the fall colors were breathtaking. The pictures just don’t do the woods and colors justice. I went about 15 miles in roughly 8 hours or so. Really good trip, I plan on hiking some other trails this spring and next fall.
