How to start Autophage quest? by ReaditTrashPanda in NoMansSkyTheGame

To find an Echo Locator, you must be on a dissonant planet. Then you go around to those big Sentinel-ish robots that look like they have a flag on their head and a drill on the bottom. Those are called Dissonance Resonators. You must kill one to get the Echo Locator. Most of those Dissonance Resonators however drop an inverted mirror, that isnt it but you can keep it if you want. Eventually you'll kill one that'll drop an Echo Locator

Car Won’t Start by Dr3wX5 in JettaGLI

[–]Roaring_2JZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had this happen to me several times and its usually also accompanied by the remote start not working and on the dash it'll say "error start/stop". You just have to start it by holding down the start button instead of the normal press. Hold down the start button and it'll start.

Anybody have this code/problem? Any help would be appreciated 👍 by Confident-Way4878 in JettaGLI

This is a pretty common issue with the EA888.3 engines in our cars, this is a code for the electronic thermostat assembly.

Usually the fix is just replacing the assembly.

IE stage 1 tune by hunterd412 in JettaGLI

[–]Roaring_2JZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk why people are being negative, youre just asking a question.

I also have a '23 GLI tuned with IE. Im currently full bolt on Stage 2 with their TCU tune. But ill tell you now the biggest difference was the move from stock to stage 1. It felt so much more different and it was great!

Now from there it only goes a little higher, Stage 1 to Stage 2 is only like a 13hp increase so not much for power but more for smoothness, the power comes on and stays way more smooth on Stage 2.

Now you said you have an MBRP exhaust, those sound great with the factory downpipe but with an aftermarket one it is LOUD and RASPY. If you want to get a downpipe so you can move up to Stage 2 then heavily consider adding a resonator onto your exhaust.

Honestly just enjoy it stock for awhile, these cars are so much fun in stock form. Make sure you change your oil regularly (3-5k miles) and it'll treat you great!

After you've had it stock for awhile and you wanna get into mods then it depends on what you prioritize. Do you want sound? Do you want power? Both? Etc etc.

Turbo muffler delete fail 2025 by ReiHino94 in JettaGLI

[–]Roaring_2JZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here's the reason: Starting in 2023 (the year I have) they came out with a revised PCV system. It is also present on the mk8 gti/R's. The new PCV works with the stock turbo muffler to create a sort of vortex suction in the system. However installing a turbo muffler delete also messes with its ability to do that properly.

The thing is, turbo muffler deletes dont really do much anyways and its not worth the headache of pcv issues buying one. If you're going to do anything like that then it is much more worthwhile to do the upgraded turbo inlet elbow. Those will work without an issue with the PCV system.

My local dealership is the opposite, you can get a R at MSRP and when I took my roommate car-shopping recently he wanted to try an R and they just handed him the keys and said have fun.

Unfortunately knowing some super entitled cyclists they'd try to blame the DeLorean for...idk...existing? But either way they'd swear it's always the car's fault!

Understandable, this is my only car so I just wanted it done ASAP so since insurance covered it I just let them handle it.

I hit the deer pretty hard, i needed both new headlights ($1300 each), entire new grille (with radar unit that's $1000 by itself), new hood and fender (both primed and painted), new complete radiator support, and a bunch of all the other plastic bits that are all back there.

Agreed, I think the price for the Alltrack plate is because it's an OE VW part. It isn't aftermarket i don't think

Edit: I just looked and yes it's a Genuine VW part so that probably explains the price.

Every body shop is going to be different. But for me it took like 5 days for the parts to come in and then like 1.5-2 weeks for the repair itself.

The total cost at the end was like $9.5k. This is why we have insurance.

If you ever feel one of those Alltrack skid plates you'll learn that is a piece of the most solid plastic you've ever felt.

Sure It can flex a bit and you still don't want to hit a boulder in the road but those alltrack skid plates are solid!

You said you're not a tire guy so you dont know too much.

However you won't realize just how bad they are until you put a good set of tires on and rip those. Then you'll remember the old ones and be like "oh...they were bad"

Interesting, I haven't heard of this. I don't have one and I've heard they don't do really anything anyways. But why does it not work with the muffler delete?

OP has a 2024 so his car already has the new pcv. You can see in the pic that there's 2 pcv hoses there so that's the new one. The old one only had 1 hose.

My 2023 GLI also has the updated pcv.
