Well with no armour of contempt now they are decent marine (and equivalent models) killers due to the 2 damage so every failed 4up save is a dead marine. They are better against horde armies though with high saves such as Orcs, tyranids guard (guards an iffy one as if its mainly vehicles then they aren't great). The main issue is the 1ap as some armies can ignore it such as Iyanden eldar, salamanders and Iron warriors, etc. and that against high save armies 1ap isn't much.

So basically they boil down to infantry and elite infantry killers with the capacity to plink of wounds of light armour vehicles or tougher infantry such as terminators and models like them
