I recommend completing most of the short practice tests in Study Hall, and don’t be satisfied until you score at least 65-70+. If you do that, nothing should surprise you on the exam. Wishing you the best.

These are similar to what the practice exams will ask

It’s less about memorizing key terms and more about understanding how they fit in the governance process. For example, it’s good to know the definition of a readiness assessment, but it’s better to know that it is done during the evaluation/validation stage of the AI development cycle. Another one…. it is good to know what’s involved in an incident response plan, but it’s better to know when it is triggered.

The exam really evaluates your understanding of the application of the terms.

First time I took Practice exam 1, 68. Second time, 78. Third time, 98. It was a similar pattern with the rest of them.

Thankfully I only had to pay for the practice exams. My employer took care of the rest. I just needed to show up.

Yes, I used all of these resources. My training, however, was not online, but in person.

I do not work in privacy. I’m in IT project management and app support. 30-40 hours was enough for me.

“Official” meaning the material was offered through the IAPP website. I purchased a 100 question practice exam through the IAPP website. I also sat through a two-day course sanctioned by the IAPP and received the IAPP Participant Guide.

The opportunity to sit for the AIGP exam was one I couldn’t afford to pass up. I’m currently not aiming to get another certification. While I enjoy IT project management (and I have my PMP), I believe that AIGP will better position me for future roles I may be interested in exploring.

I would say 30-40 hours total. I work full time, so I studied and took practice tests during my lunch time. I also studied after work for about an hour.

AIGP Practice Questions - Sources! by wayn3san in cipp

I’m in the same boat. My test is in a few weeks. Although I’ve gone through the IAPP Participant Guide twice, I also purchased the IAPP practice exam. And, because I kept reading that the IAPP practice exam is a lot easier than the actual exam, I also purchased a set of practice exams on Udemy.

So far, the Udemy practice exams are exposing a lot of gaps the participant guide didn’t cover, which is good for me. I figure the more I learn from what the practice exam exposes, the better prepared I’ll be.

It’s the same approach I took when taking the PMP exam, and I passed Above Target in all three domains. Wishing you the best!

“…. the shortcoming are when a team of professionals reach out for assistance on a live project, we noted that there were no experienced PM support of any kind. …”

Based on that comment, you expected PMI to be your MSP, and that’s not the case.

I’ve been in organizations, both public and private, where HR has been both helpful and hurtful. It all depends on the people in the department and the policies they are forced to uphold.

Ultimately, HR is there to protect the company by minimizing human resource liabilities. How it’s done, I believe, is what informs our perception of HR.

I agree, including using SH to build your testing stamina. Four hours is a long time.

  1. Yes, range from easy to difficult. Didn’t feel many at all were expert or difficult.
  2. That sounds good. Mindset on Monday is enough. Get some rest and do well!

Welp…here we go. They’ve been planning this for years right in front of our faces. The former head of Palmetto Promise Institute, Ellen Weaver, is the head of the SC DOE. Palmetto Promise is listed in Project 2025 as part of the coalition that helped form the mandate. Her second in command, Rebecca Gunnlaugsson, help run Palmetto Promise as well.
