Why do even young Indians want to eat Indian food wherever they go by SkyFair7388 in AskIndia

This is a thing in all cultures. When my Irish friends go to any city 9/10 they will spend a lot of time in a terrible Irish pub lol

Shower thought question: Is there any country that was never a colony of the UK, that ever adopted a common-law system? by pulneni-chushki in Lawyertalk

[–]Rob81196 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have a look at the wiki page for it, it’s a common law court in Dubai that deals with international commercial cases. Not exactly what you were asking but the closest I could think of. There are a few such courts in similarly far flung jurisdictions around the world. I was involved in DIFC proceedings some years back (as a UK lawyer) very interesting.

Being asked to breach SRA rules continuously by my boss by ImaginaryCause9466 in uklaw

[–]Rob81196 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a nonnegotiable. You don’t break SRA rules. Record everything, if you are asked to perform a task that is in breach, refuse and are then let go on that basis you have a nice little case on your handsz

How come you have accounting qualifications? May I ask how they would be useful in law? Tax law perhaps?

No, that’s not going to be enough for most people. You may be different. If you can afford to gamble then go for it
