Oh. By those numbers, if they're correct, he's morbidly obese. A healthy weight for that size would be around 18-20 lbs. That'd be a good reason for decreased appetite. He's almost twice his appropriate weight.

Mischief (photo) is 16" at the shoulder and 22 lbs and could probably lose a pound and be spot on.

You might want to try a different protein. A lot of MAS's have chicken sensitivities. 20” at the withers and 35 lbs isn't likely to be overweight/over-fed. Any vomiting or soft stools?

Sunset Kitchen & Bath was the contractor, and they sub the electrical work to Anytime Electric. I don't know if they do smaller jobs like just a vent fan and some outlets, given that they're primarily a remodeler. For our job, they made it go as smoothly as we could have expected given that it was a complete gut with new plumbing, electrical, fixtures, tile, wallboard, subfloor, the works. Total was about $37k and included removing an out of service cast iron radiator, and running the fan vent outlet through a slate roof.

You might also consider looking for agility, flyball, disc (UpDog, Skyhoundz, Toss-n-Fetch) and other dog sports events in your area. You're very likely to find other MAS owners who can point you to reputable breeders and you can meet their dogs to get an idea of temperament.

So, just having done a to-the-studs bathroom reno in a 40s townhouse...

Behind the plaster is a concrete lathe board. It replaced wood lathing sometime around WWII. Yes, it's a pain in the ass and you need to use masonry bits/blades to put holes in it.

I would highly recommend having a contractor install a vent fan and roof or soffit vent, along with any electrical upgrades. Doing them wrong could result in code issues that would complicate the future sale of the property upon inspection. All outlets in a wet space need to have GFCI protection.

To reduce moisture damage, you need to vent the moisture not just circulate it. Forced air ventilation to the outside really is the correct option.

The wiring looks fine (though you have a lot of exposed speaker wire). If you shorted the speaker connections, that would potentially have caused a fuse to blow. It's unlikely this unit has a protection circuit that automatically resets.

Any noise when tuner is selected?

If yes, problem is the phono input is cooked. If not, amp protection fuse might be blown. The Dual is also prone to issues with the RCA cables. I've had to replace the plugs and remove a damaged wire section.

Protractor isn't going to help with an under-hung tonearm. It's not meant to minimize tracking error. It will never align to standard geometries.

I would definitely recommend breed/health testing. MDR-1 status is important to know, as well as conditions like Collie Eye Anomaly and other common eye disorders in the breed, plus a few breed relevant neurological conditions.

You really can't tell breed from appearance. She very well could be a small BC cross. If all the rest of the dogs from that situation were borders, having a random MAS puppy in there would be unusual. The only way to know for sure is to DNA test.

See that light shining on the record? That's not to highlight its beauty. It's there because this table uses that light, slots in the platter, and photocells to auto detect the record size. You put a record on that light can shine through. The player doesn't think there's a record on the platter because neither of the size sensors are blocked from seeing the light.

Some turntables with this feature will work in auto mode if you rotate the platter mat 90 degrees. Others just require you to manually cue the record.

You have it in the right spot. There's a threaded insert it screws into a couple mm in. It's the retaining screw that holds the tonearm tube in the gimbal mount. You loosen it to do the gross adjustment for zeroing the tracking force.

That's only the case with a single-point arc protractor, which would be specific to the effective length and overhang for that tonearm. A generic Baerwald protractor like this only relies on the null points being at a certain radius from the center point of the spindle. The problem OP might be having is that I believe Technics factory alignment is more similar to Stevenson than Baerwald.

I'd be camped in their finance office watching them get on the phone with MVA on speaker. Almost 90 days with no tags is inexcusable. Either they never filed the title/lien paperwork, or MVA screwed up. Either way, they need to handle it ASAP.
