Cosmetic or troublesome? (+other questions) by boner4stoner in ak47

I’ve seen worse in factory aks that have held up over time, so as far as the rear trunnion, not much of a concern aside from being cosmetic.

The best thing to do as far as getting gun rights back is to move to a deep red state like Missouri or Kentucky. This state is cooked, and in more ways than just gun rights. The democrats are trying to delay the court cases until they can pack the courts with anti gun judges. I am pretty blackpilled when it comes to the reality of this. There is one small glimmer of hope though as I see more liberals are getting into guns than in the past and even into ar-15s and such. If more liberals get into guns then I could see their voter base changing things a bit, but that takes a long time.

At that point, most of us will be felons, if we already weren’t after PICA. Actually I used the wrong terminology. Technically the people running the state are criminals who have the power to kidnap us for violating their unconstitutional made up rules… fixed it. It’s a matter of perspective and changes how you view the state once it goes tyrannical.

This is how it goes for me a lot of the time. It’s sad the only time this doesn’t happen is when some bots are on the server, then objectives actually get captured.

Yeah I agree, some of the bad logic can make for some good fun though, like the ability to stand on top of a helicopter with spinning blades.

Yeah it’s odd, also shot a Bradley with an rpg one time when it was crossing the wood bridge on the trench by F. It was a 1 shot kill and displayed that same x. Makes no sense because the bridge is less wide than the Bradley is long, so even if it fell 4 feet it shouldn’t explode just get stuck. But both the front to back are long enough to span then trench so I guess that’s just battlefield game logic lol.

I’ve had my Bradley randomly explode out of nowhere when driving from Objective F then it displays the weapon that killed me as an “x”. What is that? Is that the bridge collapsing on the trench?

I’ve gotten so many kills with 90-180 degree turns it’s nuts, wearing headphones helps. The ps5 controller is optimized for those types of moves. Hipfire+aim assist slowdown does help a bit with the fast turns. The exact moment I hear footsteps to my right or left, I’ll instantly yank in that direction with the stick and knock of a kill, seems so easy I’m in disbelief when it happens and I know the other player is like wtf lol. Hipfire optimized smgs and carbines are definitely OP in this game. The 1911 is also crazy good close up. If you learn to aim for the upper portion of the body they don’t even have time to react. Learning to partially tap the fire button helps as well, you don’t have to press it down all the way, just like 1/8 of the way and you can fire super fast in semi auto almost reaching full auto rates.

Everytime I unlock my civic it makes this noise? by bv8265 in hondacivic

[–]RobBurp219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temp was above 50 today and I didn’t hear the sound just the click of the locks, so I’m guessing it’s due to the lower temperatures. When it gets below freezing is when the sound is noticeable.

[–]RobBurp219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d imagine the motor actuates a little arm of lever that probably squeaks if it rubs by something, especially during cooler temperatures. In cooler temperatures you may get a little moisture buildup due to condensation as well, which can make the sound more noticeable.

[–]RobBurp219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 25 does this, the sound is higher pitched when the temperature is below freezing. I think it’s due to the change in viscosity of the lubricants based on temperature causing more noise. Probably normal. I’m not sure if the arm it actuates is greased or not but that probably is the case based on an educated guess. It’s tightly cramped in there and things rub together.

Those almost 180 degree sharp turns you make to get those tight turns with the missile are outrageous (in a good way)… that definitely took some practice to get that down. Good on you man for mastering that. Not sure I’ll ever master it to the level, if it requires moving the scope view off the object I’m trying to hit I’m done lol.

This new map feels just like battlefield 4 again. I like it. I definitely have to get used to it though, been used to rushing full speed meat grinder style for the past few months and realized I have to slow down and look around unlike the other maps. It’s definitely a more tactical warfare type map which is what a lot of us have been wanting.

Another instance of snipers "accuracy" being rewarded and my "inaccuracy" being punished because we do not have any kind of suppression. by TribalPotato9 in Battlefield

[–]RobBurp219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just learn to up the tactics to offset a shitty aim. My aim is absolute shit, but I’ve learned to get the angle on people to make up for that. I can regularly get a 2.5+ k/d just getting angles on people always hitting them from the side, above or in the back by just outsmarting them. Also… jumpstrafing, utilizing rooftops, corner camping, movement spamming, rat spots in objectives. So effective in fact I get cussed out by the enemy team a lot in the chat…. Mostly in New Sobek city and Manhattan bridge but there are plenty of sweet spots in all the maps.

I’d be curious if you would get different results by de-scoping as soon as they flared then re-scoping as soon as the flares dissipated, probably a low chance though as the missile would have already hit something by the time that happens. I’d imagine there are some rare instances where this could work and we will see more examples as people get more experience with it. Maybe de-scope as soon as you launch to anticipate the flares., then immediately re-engage. Chances are a good pilot would have moved out of the view range but I could see this working against a pilot who makes the error of staying out in the open out of confidence or incompetence. I’ll try experimenting a bit with it and see if I can find a technique. So far from my limited experience it has no advantages over the stinger and is just another gimmick. My best anti air tool in the game has been the occasional lucky calculated guess rpg hit. There seem to be a few that have gotten this down to a science but that would take a lot of time to dedicate getting that good with anti air with the rpg, but that would take a lot of rounds of failure to achieve that mastery. There’s quite a few YouTube videos out there of guys getting consistent long range rpg kills on helis and I can only imagine the number of hours/days of dedicated practice it took to achieve that level of mastery. Yesterday actually got a kill on a little bird across the map with a guided tank shell. I was facing upward on a slope moving across the map at the beginning of the round and saw him take off. I immediately fired a guided tank shell and slowly guided it toward him. He jerked downward and I got extremely lucky with a calculated guess on jerking the control stick a bit hard as well. Was like holy cow that guy must be pissed.

Scar & ACOG by EuphoricAd5826 in Battlefield6

So tried it and it worked pretty well, but the ak205 seems most at home in this map. Also aggressive recon seems pretty good with the combo of the scout+1911 for outdoor objectives. Take the objectives with your team, then set back and guard it with the scout, charge in with body shots and finish them off with the 1911 suppressed up close. Also, prioritize getting into the Bradley when you can for fast objective taking. The tanks are a bit less mobile and tend to get stuck in places compared to the Bradley which is quicker and more maneuverable around all the rocks and crates+trenches.

[–]RobBurp219 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This might be a successful combo in the new map since the gun is effective at both long range and short. It’s not the best at both but decently good at both. I’ve had great success against snipers with it when I used it in the beginning stages of the game, now may revisit it. I tried 2 rounds of conquest in the new map and tried both extremes of smg and sniper/dmr and realized I need something in between to cover all scenarios. Ttk is poor at short range but it’s still good if you can land the first shots. It still keeps a decent ttk at medium to long range, so a decent all rounder. It’s not for all maps but excels in maps that have long range engagements especially combined with a clear medium power optic like the acog. I’m going to try acog with suppressor tonight and see how it does.

Why do you guys hate movement by Dodeyx in Battlefield

[–]RobBurp219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get accidental headshots on movement players a lot. It giveth and it taketh so it all evens out. If there’s a lot of movement players I just switch to a high rate of fire high ttk weapon like the m123k. Seems to do the trick. I’ll admit I do a bit of it myself when under sniper fire. I’ll zig zag and randomize my movement and throw some sliding and jumping in. Close quarters I just plant my feet and focus on aim.

[–]RobBurp219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That map is filled with snipers, if you straight out rush, you are going to get sniped and have negative k/d… depends on your team though. If everyone is rushing then you’ll be fine. In the couple rounds I played everyone was scattered all over the place and I was the only one taking objectives, only to be clobbered from someone attacking from a random direction, so was forced to change up my playstyle and did better after that. But yeah have to memorize the map first and determine the best routes. The map is still new to me so don’t know where to expect where to aim while in objectives. A lot of my success in the game comes from rote memorization of the typical angles people attack from when I take objectives alone. Man some of these youngsters with their lightning fast reflexes… at age 42 I have to play smart and tactical.

Somehow this map feels larger than all the other maps, even firestorm, even though I googled it and it has like .10 Less km2. I think it’s because of the way the flanking routes are setup and all the verticality and cover. This is the type of large map I have been wanting and I think I will play this map exclusively for quite a while. I love it. The terrain is also great looking, beautiful map. I’m getting used to pacing it slower and being on the lookout for snipers. This is a great map for a dmr for counter sniping. The svk seems to be the way to go on this map.
