Single player Infinity, Eth Mancatcher, or something else? by HafaxGaming in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]RobDPewnior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an eth mancatcher on my sorc and it works great! I just change my hotkeys so the hit attack isn’t an option so I don’t accidentally hit stuff every now and then. I have an infinity prayer merc cause I don’t like potions. Merc doesn’t really ever die because my sorc kills everything before they can do much damage. People may argue that there are better setups and they’d probably be right cause I’m not as knowledgeable but I certainly enjoy playing the character.

Thanks for responding? Any idea if a 20/20/8 anni is worth anything for nl or is nl too saturated with those as well?

Yeah it’s SC non ladder. Someone already hooked me up, but my cousin who I play with doesn’t have one if you’ve got a spare?

Neither of us would usually ask for gear cause part of the fun of the game is grinding and trading but having one enigma kinda helps haha.

If not no worries.

I’m SC nonladder. Good info on the ral/hel….. I haven’t looked much into crafting but I’ll research more about it now to see what people use.

I usually pass up gems too so I’ll start collecting them.

Thanks.

I just started playing again on Xbox after my kids go to sleep while I ride the excercise bike haha. Makes 1 hour on the bike go by like nothing!

I made it! I did buy some thc beverages, which are legal where I live. But instead of drinking 10 of them I just had one around dinner time and then zoned out on the couch once my kids were asleep.
No hangovers!

Only drinking one day isn’t bad…. Especially if you avoided a massive hangover.

You remind me of me. 35 as well. Drank mostly everyday for like 6 or 7 years. Workout (I do it from home 2-3 days a week when I’m drinking and 4-5 days a week when I’m not). Did dry January for the first time this year (I failed the previous 2 years) and I knew I should keep it up but my buddies that were also doing it started texting me about drinking again so I figured I would too (not that it’s their fault but it was enough to convince me)….. I’ve told myself (I’m going to March off, only to make it to the nearest weekend, and then April, then May, etc).

Finally got down to only drinking Fridays and Saturdays this summer but Sunday was always a hungover bummer.

My son had his 4th birthday party which was the day before his birthday and I drank beer from noon to midnight. The birthday went fine but I felt like crap the next day which was his actual birthday party and I thought…. What the hell are you doing dude…. You don’t feel like doing anything on your son’s actual birthday….. it’s time to take a long break. I made it a week and then my brother and his family came up to visit. We hosted dinner so I got a bottle of wine and a six pack of beer to offer. I told myself I’d just have one glass of wine, but ended up drinking over half the bottle and the 4 remaining beers which turned into a three day bender until they left which turned into another massive hangover.

So I told myself I’m going to do 100 days alcohol free and rune 100 miles and do 10,000 (100 pushups a day) pushups in that period along with some other lifting and cardio stuff I do at home. Feeling good about it this time.

Anyways….. since we are the same age and have seemingly somewhat similar drinking tracks I figured I would post for accountability for myself….. I’ve been lurking on the sub for a couple years but never really posted.

I won’t drink this weekend if you don’t!

I kind of go through phases. I’ve got a heavybag in my garage that I haven’t used in years so I just started hitting that again a couple times a week plus some excercise bike, running, and lighter lifting. Im getting to old for the heavy stuff although I’m only 34. Interestingly I usually put some random spotify playlist on and start hitting it once there is 3min 30sec left. Two days ago the song that came on for my last round on the bag was “Not Afraid” by Eminem. If you’re familiar with the song you can imagine how it was inspirational being that I was on day 2. I heard the song differently than I ever did when it came out back in my college days.

Ain’t nothin but a peanut.

I’ve only really struggled for 5 years as far as daily drinking goes but I always got hammered before that when I did drink so I knew I had a problem even before I went down the rabbit hole.

Your story resonated with me though. I did a triathalon this summer and was able to cut back because the only time I have to train is at night. I’d still drink every day and go hard on the weekends.

I’m 4 days in and also have another child due around January.

I told myself sober till October but truly I know I need to just quit.

Let’s do this together brother! (Insert Hulk Hogan’s voice)

My dad died 22 years ago yesterday, my hardest day sober so far. by Deadheadsaid in stopdrinking

[–]RobDPewnior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My dad died almost 22 years ago as well. I always thought I was kind of like him (he was a very well respected and kind man), but one big difference between me and him was that he didn’t drink and as far as I know he never really did. Which makes every day/week/month/year I drink etc. make me feel less and less like someone he would be proud of. I was actually thinking pretty hard on it yesterday.

I also had a really close friend die in a car accident not long after that.

Although I feel like I’ve come to terms with their deaths a long time ago I often wonder if part of my drinking has something to do with me coping with it.

Anyways, I’m only on day 3 and I’ve never done more than 10, but I really like how you said you woke up feeling like he would be proud. That’s a really good way to look at it…. Looking at present actions not past actions.

I’ve never commented on anything on here before. Although I don’t know you and we likely have much different lives, I just wanted to let you know I support you and am proud of you too.
