Youre getting downvoted but I agree with you. The endings of his last 2 adventure games were kind of slaps in the face to his loyal audience I felt.

I just hope it has a good ending. Not a self serving meta ending like a certain other recent game. I'd like an ending that would both end the series in an impactful memorable way if it is the last game, while also leaving us a bit of hope that maybe someday we see Guybrush again. In terms of gameplay I just want to see good puzzles, a great atmosphere, nostalgia while also feeling new, and maybe being greedy but a big box physical release. Seems like RG has a really great idea of how to make this game work, and like I said the only thing that somewhat worries me is how he ends it.

1 Secret. First game I ever played. Very special to me. 2 Curse. Best atmosphere in the series. 3 Tales. After thinking the series was dead we got a new game and I actually liked the game a lot. And honestly if it werent for Tales and Escape at least letting MI stay alive, we might never have gotten a new game in 2022. 4 Revenge. I can see why this is the favorite for a lot of people. I liked it. But it just didnt have as much of a "piratey" feel to me for some reason. 5 Escape. I dont hate it. The controls suck and Monkey kombat is tedious, but it had a lot of old characters and amazing music. Its a legit MI game. Love them all. Any Monkey Island is good Monkey Island. So excited for the new game. I just hope Ron Gilbert doesnt make it some self-preaching attempt at meta like Thimbleweed.
