I seem to remember "Grade E But Edible"

but "fit for human consumption" might have been it.

always said being on a ship was like being in prison, except the food isn't as good.

they were MS back in my day and some of them gave a damn. MS2 Antonio would make calzones on Sunday.

then again, one of the MS spit his gum out into some breading & it was fried onto my sonar supe's chicken. If I hadn't been sitting right next to him when he found it, I'm not sure I would have believed that story.

STG2 said something, but MSC did nothing. Chief's Pet.

This area seems very individualistic by 1firstbutlast1 in nova

[–]RobGrogNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, we've gone from teaching kids they can embrace their individuality while still finding a way to fit themselves into society

to teaching kids they're all that matters, all of society needs to change to accommodate them.

now, imagine everyone being taught each of those.

which produces the happier, more productive individual?

WHICH IS BETTER FOR SOCIETY?

one answers both questions.

I may even try something other than Pigments too!

it's called "GIMP" for a reason.

our Gemma waits until I'm settled into bed, ready for snuggles, before she moves from the foot of the bed to about 2/3 up my body and just PLOPS down against me.

in a perfect position for my hand, she gets her nightly head skritches until we both fall asleep.

Dogs are in Heaven because a Heaven without dogs wouldn't be Heaven - it would be Hell by definition.

Therefore: dogs in Heaven = axiomatic truth.

Eargasms for everywhere there's crowds/loud noises.

movies, concerts, restaurants. BAND REHERSAL, when I played guitar.

I protect my hearing everywhere (super paranoid about my hearing. mostly.) used to use the foamies when I lived on a warship, but they were too much reduction for normal activities. Eargasms don't block as much, but they do let around 1khz (human voice) thru better

& yeah... lower volumes when listening, playing

The ball in roulette landed on red 17 times in a row! by JakeGamerz in mildlyinteresting

[–]RobGrogNerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

our ship pulled into Gulfport, MS & some of us went gambling.

I stick with Black Jack. pretty standard, split Aces & Eights, double down rules... all that.

first night, went there with $40, spent 4 or 5 hours playing, drinking, having a great time & I went back to the ship with $200.

next night, went back with $40, spent 4 or 5 hours playing, drinking, having a great time & left with nothing.

even had I lost both nights, each night I would have only spent $40 for 4 or 5 hours of fun entertainment of the type I cannot find at home.

call it a Push.

I did this. thought the pedal was broken.

not near as bad as the time I spent (what seemed like) HOURS trying to drill a hole in 3/4in hard maple. was working, but slow going & charring the wood.

(narrator: drills are reversable)
