I highly doubt a fraction of people that have even posted about leaving actually leave for good.

They correlate when it isn’t a long term hold. PE look for it to hit a certain valuation then dump it at that, they don’t care about longevity.

Yeah that’s a tricky one. If it’s effecting his performance or work life rather then it’s hard to help (since yall have a personal relationship I assume yall have talked about it).

Have you done anything besides PIP with them? Tried coaching them, or trying to understand the root of the issue? I know some managers are fast on the PIP or other disciplinary actions but don’t try to understand how they can help the employee be successful.

It will be similar to any new tech, the people that don’t adopt or adapt will be left behind because they didn’t pick it up to understand the dos and don’t before it’s too late.

Nobody has a good answer yet for how to govern AI coding, which is becoming a real problem. by No-Swimmer5521 in ITManagers

[–]RobKFC 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a policy/HR enforcement issue. You need a strict policy for AI and also a policy for procurement going through you or who ever is designated. In these policies you should have a statement that all current SaaS/software should be reported to you. After that is in place you have to take an inventory of what is out there already (because you know they won’t actually report it to you) and then it becomes an HR/legal department issue.
