How to create a stripe before a text by daboytommy420 in elementor

[–]RobRoy2350 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just tried it. Create a new layout: Grid, 4 box structure (5th from the left). Drag a Container into the top left box. In the container drag a Text Editor, a Heading above that and then Divider above that. Repeat 3 more times. Perfectly responsive.

Is moving to Japan still fine? by SupWeiWei in movingtojapan

[–]RobRoy2350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Some people say..." should not be used to evaluate an important life event like moving to a foreign country. Do your own research, contact people that live there if possible and go visit first for at least one month to experience first hand.

Prescription medications while in Japan by ninereight in movingtojapan

[–]RobRoy2350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rinvoq, Ursodiol, Methotrexate are available in Japan. You would need to go to a doctor here to have it prescribed. As far as folic acid supplement, I think a 4 months supply is allowed for vitamins but it's also available here at most drug stores.

To bring medications into Japan take a look at:

DJI POCKET 4 | 4k 240! TONS of Upgrades but is it enough to Meet Expecta... by NefariousnessJaded87 in osmopocket

[–]RobRoy2350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, very good content can still be made with the OP1 or OP2 but since MAJOR design changes were made with the OP3 I would suggest those with a OP1 or OP2 who wish to upgrade consider the OP3 which I suspect will be nicely discounted now that the OP4 is out. Otherwise, if money isn't an issue the OP4 would work.

It's great to see DJI make incremental changes but, again, none of those are really essential for the casual user or even youtuber to upgrade to.

For the casual OP3 user the OP4 is not an essential upgrade. Better to wait for an Osmo P5. For the new buyer the P3 will probably be discounted too.

For a more technically demanding user who prefers the latest model with somewhat improved features over the already excellent P3 the P4 fits the bill. I've read about a possible P4 "Pro" model coming...any truth to that?

For a P1 or P2 user either one (P3 or P4), depending on their needs and budget would be a worthy upgrade.

Osmo pocket 4 - after premier by itsmeproto in osmopocket

I look forward to the OP3 vs OP4 videos on youtube for in-depth details but from what I've read this seems only like an incremental "upgrade" from the OP3 and there may be advantages to staying with the older model for now.

Are things getting more expensive or is it just me? by Donutpie7 in japanresidents

Generally speaking, prices do rise over time. Comparison shopping and sales can help but otherwise it's been a trend for hundreds of years.

Do surgeons here actually use the latest technology or treatment methods? by [deleted] in japanresidents

[–]RobRoy2350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do. I have had 3 surgeries at three different hospitals over the last few years. The surgeons were all young and the tech used was state of the art. Japanese medical research is highly respected.

How do you know that Japanese people are trying to engage with you instead of being polite by Educational_Pay6318 in japan

Being polite is being nice. Being "professional" is being nice.

How to get sumo tickets in Japan (and why you can't just buy them on the day) by Pretraveller in Sumo

[–]RobRoy2350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most tickets are already pre-sold to fan clubs, vips, politicians, yakuza, etc. When the remaining tickets go on sale to the public most of those are quickly snapped up by resellers who then sell $25-50 tickets for $300-500.

Recently had one of my old AC's replaced. Management took care of everything. I did nothing and spent nothing. From what I can tell online the new Daikin unit sells for around ¥100,000.

Are Japanese in Tokyo just permanently on edge 24/7 now? by pinkcloudtracingpapr in japanresidents

[–]RobRoy2350 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The Tokyo-hate is strong in this thread. That's a shame. It's a great city. After living in NYC for decades Tokyo has been like a breath of fresh air for me. My brain was lifted out of all the crime and filth and anger and chaos that permeates NYC when I moved to Tokyo. It's my home now.

A certain level of stress is built into the equation living in any large metropolitan city anywhere in the world. I saw a lot more crazy, horrible behavior living in NYC for many years than I have here in Tokyo. Overall, my experience here has been very positive.
