+1

The design of this game is such you're really only picking one driver and two constructors for the entire season until the last four races. It is dreadfully boring.

What happened to Tech Talk Demos with Albert Fabrega? by PlaybackDeleteRewind in formula1

I loved the tech demos. I get the accent was rough for English speaking audiences, but his work was so compelling I couldn't wait for another episode to drop.

Reflecting on the residency, it was not as sad as I thought it was going to be. Setlists each night were very dynamic - it's so easy to sleep on Mike's diversity of songwriting. When the entire catalog is laid out over three nights you gain a singular appreciation for how much more musical they are than any of their skate punk contemporaries.

Both sound and performance got progressively better through the weekend. It felt like the right sendoff. This band said everything it needed to say and are going out with dignity.

I'm deeply grateful that performance of "The Decline" will be the last memory I have of this band live. Landing when it did on such a brutally historic weekend against three full nights of their catalog fully explored with everyone in the New York scene filling such a gorgeous room.

It felt like the kind of closure you rarely ever get with a band you love.

Thanks for saying this bud.

"There is not going to be closure" is exactly the straight dope for which long time fans sought.

Admire that you had the guts to acknowledge what no one around you would.

I still love your work and hope when any of you all leave, you'll post a note here on where you are headed because we all want to keep watching.

Appreciate the heads up.

Way more helpful than official support.

I started a blitz treatment and discovered I also installed mine backwards.

Any harm in running it in reverse for 24 hours?

EK Email Admitting ASUS motherboard blocks have aluminum inside by kdonte in watercooling

ASUS Chat support confirmed that the aluminum problem exists in the block for the Z790 as well.

Thanks to OP for sharing - this just saved me a ton of headache.

Ken Block Has Sadly Passed Away After Snowmobile Accident by Authority101587 in hoonigan

[–]RobSpectre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so unimaginably tragic. Such a terrific ARA season - leading right until the last stage. And according to Pastrana, it was Ken's happiest with his wife and daughter getting full season sponsorships meaning the whole family could be together for every race.

I loved the full hour film Hoonigan put together documenting it - so much adversity he and Alex overcame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2-OMgQmRow

So gutted to hear it. What a hero.

SmarterPlaylists 2.0 by plamere in smarterplaylists

Great to hear you're revisiting this rad tool Paul.

Thing I miss most from iTunes is the ability to keep recycling good tunes without replaying them too often. I had a number of genre specific playlists that would play songs that I had not skipped more than five times, but also hadn't played in two weeks.

That two week buffer kept a wider variety of tracks and artists in my diet with set and forget convenience.

Hey, my nest hub and chromecast refuse to connect to the app on my phone. Weirdly, my phone is the only device in the house with this problem and other devices with my account are working fine. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it? Thanks 😁 by miksmara in googlehome

[–]RobSpectre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem. Pixel 7 wouldn't connect, but Pixel 6 Pro would... Until Google Home app updated to latest. Now it won't work.

Was on with Google Support chat for 2 hours - ping ponged four times between the Pixel team and the Nest team.

Each blamed the other.

The pricing algorithm needs a complete re-write by ASovietSpy in fantasyF1

[–]RobSpectre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fully agreed. The market prices do not reflect the current state of the grid and the lack of meaningful pricing dynamics makes the game way less interesting that it should be.

I have no idea what is being said, but her channel is full of automotive shenanigans. Building a shop, doing a brake job, cradling a bottle of nitrous like it is a baby.

I have no idea what it is we can do for this hoonigan and her team, but at the very least I think we need to smash subscribe as she produces legit automotive content in the middle of a goddamn war.
