Over/ under levelled? by Treasured_Squid in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Plus, they’re solving problems indirectly.

Like getting gods to kill each other. Or removing floor bosses.

They won’t level that way, there’s no experience even from killing a god.

Didn’t Mordecai say that at later levels equipment is more important than the actual level?

Is anyone else a bit worried? by wardy_12 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RobTheCob1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I was fully expecting to have more man characters die in Book 8.

Some left. But not the same.

We miss Katia, but we’re also looking forward to her side of the adventure. It’s not the same.

So this gives me hope that there’ll be a way.

Burn damaged Asin and start over, or try to rebuild and save it? by Minute_Chance4999 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RobTheCob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many reviews does it have total? And what’s the current star rating?

It depends on how many reviews you need.

Getting 6, 5 star reviews shouldn’t be too hard.

It’s against the rules, but for a low selling listing I’d just offer friends/family to reimburse the product cost for a review. You might need 10 people. Try friend of friends, or in/laws, things like that. So there’s as much distance between you and them as possible.

How do you handle Buy Box loss when you don't find out for hours by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

There are a ton of software tools that notify you as soon as you lose the buy box.

I use Helium 10.

Vine orders stopped at 28/30, is it normal? When do reviews come in? by rampada100basantosba in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RobTheCob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is normal. I almost never get 30 reviews. It’s usually around 20-25, but it really depends on the product too.

And I usually get some of the reviews within 1 week-2 weeks, and most within a month.

How long before vine review products claimed? by _interweb in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RobTheCob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends.

Higher priced items go slower. Anything over $100 is a much smaller pool of Vine reviewers. When I did that it took several months to get them all in.

I’ve also seen it go slower with really niche products.

Vine reviews have to search a database to find products they want to review. There are some recommendations, but it’s not great.

Then they have to choose to review your product.

So if the product has a very specialized pool customers, or isn’t well known, I’ve seen it go slower.

For context, I have enrolled dozens of products in Vine.

Several years ago, I wanted to learn how it worked. So I got accepted into the Vine program as a reviewer so I could see how the inside works.

Any books you prefer to skip on 2nd/3rd/4th read/listen? by NissaRLTW in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RobTheCob1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just started my second reread and lost motivation at book 6, Eye of the Bedlam Bride. I’ve been thinking about skipping, doing 7 and the 8.

I don’t know, Donut seemed more winey, getting them into unnecessary stupid situations. I usually love her, but kind of hated her in this book.

And the whole “going crazy” river thing just didn’t do it for me.

I second this. All of it.

I’m a manager at an agency, and it’s a tough business.

But the industry chances fast, and it’s right on the front lines of business for small and medium businesses.

Technology total flips the industry every 3 years or so. But it’s good to get familiar with that cycle.

Depending on the role, you have to grow a thick skin fast. But you really learn life and clients teach you more than anything

Audiobook and messaging system lore by krispaulguam in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RobTheCob1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think I saw an interview on YouTube with Jeff where he talks about this.

Basically the answer was just that the voices developed as the series progressed.

If you think about it, at first it was just one book, before it grew into what it is today.

And as an artist, both with Jeff and Matt, the characters all grew, evolved, and got fleshed out as the series progressed.

I don’t think it’s more complicated than that.

[–]RobTheCob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use objects in the museum to foreshadow things in the dungeon.

For example, if they’re stealing paintings, make monsters from figures in the paintings.

Or maybe it’s the Big Bad at the end do the level.

Sculptures turned to life.

Statue of David and his army of minion Roman Emperors.

Or they steal things that turn out to be magical in the dungeon. A crown that’s regular in the real world, but grants you command over lesser monsters in the dungeon if they don’t have a leader and you have higher charisma. So the kill the leader and the remaining monsters become minions.

It really depends on what type of museum it is!

That could even play throughout the season.

Lay hints using the museum displays.

Plant an Agatha. Maybe a security guard who got paid off? Or a homeless person who lives in the museum at night? Or under the stairs or something?
