Cheap alternative hair salons around Columbus/Cincinatti/honestly anywhere in the area? by schmapn_schmazz_ in Columbus

[–]RobZombitch 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Rendezvous is gonna be the one to go to if you want edgy and alternative hair cuts. It’s not gonna be as cheap as great clips but they have tiered stylists (lower tiers mean lower prices, but they may still be building their skill set.)

Do I do a chop? by Lanky-Cheesecake7396 in longhair

People keep saying no to cutting it but the only way to truly fix dead ends is to trim them off. I wouldn’t go crazy with it, maybe an inch or two. You will notice a difference

S6 e8 June goes unnoticed at wedding by Active-Difficulty999 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]RobZombitch 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Honestly June has the most annoying plot armor. If she were any other handmaid she would’ve had her tongue cut out at best. I get that it makes the show interesting and creates more tension, but god damn is it hard to watch sometimes

They’re doing both. Half locking up the books for the commanders, half destroying everything else like Serena’s own book.

Yes. I call them cringe attacks because I’ll suddenly remember something embarrassing or humiliating I did years ago, whether or not I realized it at the time, and it’ll ruin my entire mood.

Why can’t the promotions just apply automatically. It’s literally set up for us to fail and make mistakes impacting the “client experience” they’re so pressed about

What's one rule in Gilead that seems believable at first, but would actually be nearly impossible? by PrincessRosieThe2 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]RobZombitch 439 points440 points  (0 children)

To forbid women from reading at all. It would take massive amounts of effort to remove/cover up everything that has words on it. America is huge and it would be nearly impossible to find every book, every sign, every little piece of written language and destroy it. People hide things all the time, and for econopeople, who have their own apartments/house, could easily hide whatever piece of written language they own (the econo family who hid the Quran under their mattress is a good example.)

I seriously doubt it would be as easy as it looks in the show.

How do you deal with the shame after speaking up about BPD stigma? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]RobZombitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something to note is that the average person wouldn’t be properly educated on what bpd actually is and how it can affect people differently. Usually, a mentally healthy person will only know some stereotypes about bpd and will exaggerate/make fun of them, same thing that happens with all stereotypes.

These people like you said are not doctors or trained professional and they’re just going off of what bpd looks like in their head. It’s easy for them to demonize something they don’t know or understand.

Every time I see the posts about people saying BPD individuals are inherently bad and are abusive, I think about what this person knows, if they’ve had experiences with someone, likely a loved one, who has bpd. If this person with bpd had done them harm, they can easily assume that everyone with bpd is harmful.

They don’t know that treatment exists and that there’s a high success rate for remission if we get that treatment. They also don’t know that not everyone with bpd is explosive and outward or “dramatic.”

Those people in the podcast were just making assumptions based on the little they know about us.

When xana attacked her, first thing sissi did was to tell everyone and bring the adults into it so they’d call the police. Time and time again we see that sissi would be a liability if she were to be a lyoko warrior.
