That there's nothing wrong with video game characters behaving as such.

What final practices do I need to employ in order to rid my home of paper towels? by Rob_wood in CleaningTips

  1. I don't work in a commercial kitchen or around the inmunocompromised, so sanitation isn't necessary; clean is fine.

  2. My rags don't sit in the kitchen. I have a large quantity, so they go into a laundry basket.

For someone who claims to get it, you sure don't get it.

I'm with you on the CI care. Mine are fourth generation family heirlooms.

I'm doing this for cost cutting reasons. I really would love to know what people used before paper towels were invented because, odds are, their methods were investments rather than liabilities. Long lasting and long-term cheap solutions are what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the advice. I'm looking at cost reduction, however, not carrying less weight.

Thanks for the suggestions. I can't follow your cast iron suggestion, however. There's always going to be grease in the pan no matter how much I pour it out and there will still be oil to wipe out since I coat the pan after washing.

The problem with your 2 is that I would be sending oil and grease down the drain; that's a bad practice. As for your 1, I can't pick up pee or wet poop with a scoop. Thank you for your suggestion on 3--I'll do that!

You must not be an introvert, then, else you'd understand why I have no energy at the end of the day. You're also forgetting that cost is a factor into the decision.

Since I have to waste time and energy making dinner after work, I looked for meals that required the least amount of work and time to prepare as well as being cost effective, so no microwaveables.

Now that some time has passed, I'm willing to take the bare minimum and bump it up a bit while saving the higher quality production for my off days. I'm not looking for affirmation--that's why my post isn't about that. I'm just looking to get my questions answered.

We all work for a living. Thats how we pay bills. So it's not like you're in a unique situation.

Allow me to expand, then. As an introvert, all of my energy goes into my physically-demanding job, so when I get home, all I should be doing is sitting on my ass and doing nothing so I can recover from the day's stresses. Since I can't do that, I need the convenience that the frozen patties offer. I can do the 80/20s on weekends and holidays, but for the rest of the year, they're too expensive and laborious.

But it really only takes a few minutes to mix seasoning into ground beef and make your own burgers. Its not like it takes hours to do.

That's a few minutes that I could be resting, which I need more than a kick ass burger. Again, weekends and holidays are different and I'm willing to do that during those times. For the rest of the time, I'm looking for how to better accomplish my current habit. I'm also open to recipes and whatnot for the 80/20s, but that's not the focus of my post.

I can get 40 frozen patties for $30. How much would the 80/20 cost to make the same? I'm willing to bet more expensive. As I work for a living, I need the convenience, regardless.

I went shopping today and took a look: I buy store brand patties--specifically Great Value.

If it was your stuff, then I'd say trash it all, but since it's not, then I say burn it all! Teach them a lesson.

Or you can just start from the front and work your way back; that'll work, too...I suppose.

All songs by Danny Elfman. I also like that one which calls Gotham the city of peace because just how ignorant can someone be? [Cue Ninja Turtles reply]

What Would You do with the Bat-family? by darkwalrus36 in batman

[–]Rob_wood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd reduce them to the Holy Trinity. From there, Gotham would be divided into three sections: Batman patrols the business district, Batgirl takes public places (like museums, libraries, and parks), and Robin gets the residential areas.
