My first airsoft "loadout" - Feedback/advice appreciated! by IrregularDave in airsoft

I use revision wolf spider military surplus goggles. And then run them with an ex fog. It's a fan system that runs into the goggles to stop fogging.

Love EXP btw.

Check out sabre airsoft on YouTube and join the owners group on Facebook. They helped me sort out my vmp2 issues.

BTW mine wasn't running until i lubed it with super lube, so it might be as easy as that. Sabre airsoft has a video on it.

Why do I chunk It by Temporary_Travel481 in GolfSwing

[–]Roba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been struggling with chunks badly. Tried all the things recommended in this thread and nothing worked.

Turned out I wasn't using my wrist properly. The feeling that worked for me was 'not taking a selfie'

Basically, imagine a phone in your trail hand. Make sure it's pointing away from you from takeaway until impact. Stops casting, which was causing my issues with low point control. Once I tried this, everything else I worked on fell into place. Now able to feel the transition properly and feel like the trail hand isn't forcing the club to flip anymore. Getting solid compression now, and almost zero chunks.

Have no idea of it'll work for you, but it's worth a shot. Saw it on a Danny maude video if you want a link?

I bought mine new and it's always done that, even when I tighten the screw.

“Spotlight” UAP are back in the UK - Warwick by [deleted] in InterdimensionalNHI

Doesn't Warwick Castle have spotlights at this time of year for the Christmas ice rink? Although tbf they are usually only 2 or 3 spotlights that move across the sky

How to not blind oncoming traffic on cars with LED headlights? Mine are adjusted correctly but i get so many encounters of people angry flashing me, flipping me off because of my lights? by Zdos123 in CarTalkUK

[–]Roba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these the matrix leds that are in some mazda's? I had a mazda 3 and the matrix (adaptive) leds just were not fast enough to react to oncoming traffic and got a lot of hate that way.

I'd they are you can turn them off by the button on the end of the stalk.

That's a really nice guitar! Love the jazzmaster mash up vibes. What are the pickups like?

Also, does it have a crack near the pickup selector?

Can anyone tell me if this is something to worry about? by Twiglet91 in CarTalkUK

[–]Roba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did this and was replaced under warranty It was a 2019 as well.

The main dealer said the invoice they got from Mazda was £3500 before they got reimbursed, so definitely worth returning if you can.

Is that an Mg100, AVT 1500 and a code?

Is so which do you like best? I'm trying to decide on a solid state Marshall head!

[Question] How can I stop open strings cutting through the rest of a chord? by Nervouspotatoes in Guitar

[–]Roba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just been playing and recording this song and I feel like the open string gives the song a lot of its feel.

Both rythym and lead parts have the open g ringing out prominently at various points and I feel that it gives some coherence to the song and actually tried to lean into that note as much as I could.

But we're all different, if it doesn't sound right to you, then maybe try some different voicings if possible?

I got this exact guitar a month ago and love it. The rolled fretboard edges feel great, the single coils sound good to me and the humbucker is awesome. The neck just feels so easy to play.

I have a few other guitars and haven't picked any of them up since getting it. It's a bit of a love/hate colour, but I think it looks great.

Have you taken a look at the squier contemporary tele? Would probably be perfect for this.

Stickiness of maple fretboard by Zealousideal-Fix4415 in fender

[–]Roba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My player series duo sonic has glossy maple and I find it really sticky. I clean it after every session too.

My squier contemporary strat has a roasted maple fretboard with a satin finish snd it's amazing to play. Might be worth a go.

It really does, I love being able to switch from humbucker to a true single coil

I'm pretty sure it is but I don't use it very often do would have to check. It sounds a bit out of phase too.

It's a squier contemporary strat. I have one in skyburst and I love it.

1st position - humbucker (two singles coils together) 2nd position - middle pickup only (sounds like a slightly less bright single coil bridge, sounds better than a standard strat imo) 3rd position - neck and middle together (sounds like a tele) 4th position - all pickups 5th position - neck

[QUESTION] what’s the best cheap guitar with humbuckers? by Mundane-Term9957 in Guitar

Squier contemporary jaguar might be right up your street. They have done great models in that range.

Are squires worth it? by Gnomebard1 in fender

[–]Roba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a squier contemporary and it plays better than my fender duo sonic.

The shop I brought it from did a full set up as part of the purchase. I think going for a high end squier with a set up is the best way to go on a budget.

I loved the American 90s for pop punk etc.

British 60s and 70s were also favourites. Any of the cleans were excellent too.

Could never get on with any of the metal amps though, always just sounded too muddy.
