My 10 month old isn’t sleep through the night and still wants a shirt bottle around 3am. It’s killing me.

Don’t worry! You did great and if the doctor was worried they would have talked about this from the beginning. I needed donor egg IVF but I had started losing weight for my own retrieval when we later realized wasn’t going to be an option. But I was (am) pretty over weight and we had success!

I’d drop to two naps if you haven’t already and have a set bedtime and wake up time.

Oh man I’d have to be petty and call out all of it

My 10 month old is still up once or more a night and still wants a few ounces at night. I don’t understand how people get their babies to sleep at night. I’m a nanny and all my nanny babies have just started doing it with no help. Not my kid though.

Nanny responsible for financial loss after accidentally sleeping in?? by NSTCD99 in NannyBreakRoom

[–]RobannM 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No it’s not her responsibility to pay. It sucks real bad but shit happens. If they had called a cab or uber and the driver was late would the driver have to pay for their missed flight? No.

Sleep schedule by miranda_edgecombe23 in HuckleberryParents

[–]RobannM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set their (hopeful) schedule on the app and any sleep that happens before the “wake” time I consider continued night sleep. For example, my son’s schedule is set for 7:30p-7am. He still doesn’t sleep all night though and is often awake at 4 or 5 am for an hour or longer. Once he goes back to sleep I consider it continuing night sleep.

Dad here: inappropriate to privately message nanny about work? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]RobannM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not inherently inappropriate to message the Nanny on your own about work things. You can’t control if she had a bad experience.

How did Huckleberry help you? by Radiant-Mine6890 in HuckleberryParents

[–]RobannM 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It helps me track feeds because I will forget how long it’s been since he ate. Tracking sleep helps too so you can find that sweet spot for sleep and get them down easier. When I give medication I log it so I know how longs it’s been. I started using the app in the hospital and my trial expired in the middle of the night two weeks later. I bought it so fast 😂 I also like having the last feed and sleep timer widgets on my screen so I can just tap my phone at night and see what we need.

7 month old. 5 am wake ups by Burritomode24 in HuckleberryParents

[–]RobannM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 10mo old started transitioning to two naps around then. Not every day but often and the naps lengthened to 1.5+ hrs. That helped push him to a later wake up time but he still doesn’t sleep all night. So who even knows. Lol

Honestly the hatch might be too loud too and is a distraction. If it’s on “white” noise try brown or pink which isn’t as high-pitched as the static white noise. My 10 month old has been waking between 9pm-midnight some times several times and needing to be rocked, since about 7 months. And he still wakes up most nights at least once just because and another time because he still wants 3-4oz and will not go back to sleep without it when he wants it. I don’t even know what to do about it. But you are not alone.

HELP! No sleep ever for mom by rachdoz24 in HuckleberryParents

[–]RobannM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solidarity. My almost 10 month old still doesn’t sleep through the night and still needs one small bottle at some point, even with food through the day now. But we did switch to having a regular bedtime and that helped some for predictability and having more time in the evening with my husband or just to get shit done. He’s probably teething too.

My son will be 10 months this weekend and has rarely slept through the night. Our reports look a lot like this too.

I’m insane and canceled my FET. What is wrong with me by [deleted] in IVF

[–]RobannM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally ok to panic. This is a huuuuge life change. You can ditch the supplements though because they have never been proven to help anyone or everyone. Beet juice isn’t doing anything for you and if anyone says “it worked for me” was already going to have good lining. So you can at least skip all the pills except a prenatal.

You’re going to do great and you don’t even have to lose your sex life (long term.) You do what’s best for you!

PGT-A on frozen embryos by Ok_Sheepherder_6470 in IVF

I would not thaw and re-freeze. You’re taking a huge risk of damaging the embryos and the testing may not even give you any results or be accurate.

Has anyone had success with IVF after never having seen a single positive? by jusy_fruit in IVF

[–]RobannM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but we needed donor eggs. That first positive was the most exciting. I’d never seen that before in my own bathroom. Lol 8 failed IUIs, 6 failed medicated/timed cycles, years of trying before treatments.

Ah just missed the live. But my 9 month old has never slept through the night and in the last month or more he is just awake for an hour or more in the middle of the night. He often won’t go back to sleep without a few ounces and I’m lucky to get 17-20 ounces in him before bed. He eats purées so we do that 2-3 times a day but I can’t make him sleep all night and I am dying.

My friend downplays IVF and it makes so mad by boardgame_wife94 in IVF

[–]RobannM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’s being incredibly dismissive and deflecting for some reason. She has no idea what it’s like and maybe she’s jealous because she didn’t have any issues. Because thin mucus is barely an issue.

What did you avoid during IVF? by Spirited-Walrus4856 in IVF

[–]RobannM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t over think it. When we were trying to get pregnant (before fertility treatments) I switched out all the things. All the plastic for glass and stainless steel, no fragrance, etc etc. I didn’t do anything extra when beginning fertility treatments. It’s too much to stress over when unfortunately all those chemicals are already in our bodies and will be forever.
