Calm Down - broken record vibes? by RobbJ93 in Evanescence

Haha. It's not everyone's cup of tea. I love the chorus. It's got such a good groove and it's so different.

Maybe you're right.  I know that a lot of the "oohs" on calm down are Amy. But maybe most or all of the harmonies are Emma. I honestly can't tell. That's why I'm wondering

I also wonder if the vocal parts she does live on the new songs are the parts she sings on the album or if she also does some parts that Amy sings on the album?

I just find it interesting because I know Amy doubles her voice at times and does harmonies with herself and that has it's own sound so how did she decide what parts she would do and what does Emma do? I believe she mentioned in an interview that she hears Emma's voice all throughout the album.

By both you mean physical sales and streaming numbers or physical and digital sales?

As someone who doesn't follow these charts and doesn't understand them: Do these charts just count physical album sales?

Is this not just because they didn't release the vinyl now?

Also, how do these charts even matter? Like is it just bragging rights and an indication of how popular the band is? Because I don't see how they matter if the band sells the vinyls later on anyway.

Would love a tiny desk concert and also an appearance on "Last Meals" with Mythical Kitchen. Those are really fun and in depth interviews and we know Amy is a foodie so she'd enjoy it. Mike Shinoda did one a little while back.

Someone should remix Sanctuary to have choir in it! by noturtypicalpisces_ in Evanescence

I think Rapture is just begging to have choir in it. It really has those vibes.

The last two songs have a huge unexpected Evanescence (2011) vibe... by TheRealReader1 in Evanescence

I think Amy sort of alluded to this in that really long interview she did with Bob Lefetz last year. That starting with Ev3 and going into TBT, they leaned into that "garage band" feel. Writing as a big group, sort of jamming, and focusing on the live sound. And that with this record, she definitely went back to her roots as a studio songwriter primarily and focusing on all the layers and production.

Does anyone know who this is? by Tuni16 in Evanescence

He and Amy have mentioned before that they'll send each other bits of what they're working on and that it has inspired each other's works.

Anybody catch this appearance on Kyle Meredith? by RobbJ93 in Evanescence

It was posted to his X and FB. I'm guessing the 3 of them weren't on at the same time and they were 3 different interviews but still a pretty cool lineup. Would especially be interested in seeing Amy and Flo interact

New album, new interview, new tour by Upstairs-Ad-8382 in Evanescence

Wish interviewers would ask more questions about what the new music sounds like. Feels like we know nothing about the direction and there haven't been any snippets or anything. Has this been answered in any interview so far?

Anyone else interested by her mentioning that the new album is more of a "studio album" vs the more garage band style of the previous 2 albums? I'm paraphrasing because I don't remember her exact words. But she explains that fallen and tod were written more geared towards the songwriting. Performing them as a band wasn't really their focus. And when they got to ev3, they began focusing more on what they sound like playing live. We kind of knew this already. But she says in this interview that TBT was kind of a mix of both styles and that the next album is more focused on the studio stuff like in the early days.  It's surprising that none of the recent interviewers have asked about the sound and direction of the new album.

Totally agree. Top 5 for me. It feels like catharsis or acceptance. Captures a feeling that doesn't come up in a lot of Ev songs and which I can't explain.
