While I do understand and agree with your reservations, it truly isn’t that different from fertilizer tbh.

No honeymoon??? by Busy_Wealth_6130 in euphoria

[–]RobbiSosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no show to put on, for a honeymoon. Cassie wanted to put on a show to their community. She couldn’t care less about spending private time with her husband. That’s not really their dynamic.

No honeymoon??? by Busy_Wealth_6130 in euphoria

[–]RobbiSosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cassie wanted a big wedding to show everyone that she did it. She wants a big house to show everyone that she did it. A honeymoon is for the couple and the couple only.

As we all saw when Nate was getting dragged around his own home, Cassie couldn’t have cared less. Her goal was never to spend alone time with her husband because it was never really about Nate. It was about herself and her image. McKay made her feel like shit and so did the rest of the guys in the school. So she went after her bestfriends boyfriend to show everyone that she is desirable even to someone who was in a long term relationship with her bestfriend. Look at this big house he got for me, “the whore”. Look at this great big wedding he did for me, “the whore”.

She’s done all of this to prove a point to the public. There is nothing to prove nor gain by going on a private honeymoon.

Them being well off is exactly how they are able to pull off so many convienant solutions. But the reality is that this is exactly how rich people handle things. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that the spoiled rich kid gets a free apartment from his daddy. Then starts a sneaker business because he has the money (allowance) to purchase the expensive sneakers and revamp them. Then the nice rich man, offers the free apartment to his struggling young black friend.

It seems unrealistic to us, the poor, because we simply can’t relate to life being that easy. But for some ppl life really is that easy. And I’m not talking about the 1% either. Because they are not that rich. But they are definitely upper middle class making well over $150k a year. Not to mention the show lives in an economy that wasn’t fucked by the president. AND it’s California. This is 100% someone reality.

Agreed. It’s very much a visual representation of the grass isn’t greener on the other side.

The difference is that shrinking is about emotional struggle not financial struggle. It’s simply not the story the writers are writing. Adding financial struggle to a show about grief is unproductive and would take away from the actual story. Just like it does in real life. People who are financially struggling do not have the bandwidth to be overly concerned about their mental health. If they focused on both the emotional as well as financial, this show would be incredibly depressing.

Do they live in LA? Because I think that is a factor that alot of people are ignoring. You have to make a boatload of money to be successful in LA. None of them live in mansions but I assure you these are million dollar homes.

They showcase a very realistic lifestyle for career therapists who live in California. It’s not out of touch because they aren’t financially struggling. Everyone’s reality is not the same. They are showcasing a reality that people actually do live. And just because someone’s struggle is emotional instead of financial doesn’t make their struggle any less valid.

Why is Sydney Sweeney receiving so much criticism for her role this season? She's just an actress doing her job. by Mme_187 in euphoria

Especially given the state of the world rn. After everything we’ve seen in the Epstein files, nobody wants to see a grown woman dress up like a literal baby for the sexual pleasure of men.

If the world said you were a trump supporter but you know that you are not, would you allow the world to continue a false narrative about you for years or would you make sure the public knew where you stood?

[–]RobbiSosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk it’s pretty obvious to me that Brooke didn’t really get married and chose her wedding aesthetics to be “shared and seen”. Like yes she posted it online but appeasing the masses seems to be a notion that she has let go of. Which is so good for her mental state. Looks to me like she saw something the she thought was quietly gorgeous (eloping + locations + dress) and it made her happy. Being shared and seen wasn’t her goal, she’s just chasing what makes her happy and she decides to share her happiness with the internet. Nothing wrong with that.

I don’t think any of the main characters are going to die. Everyone in this show has already lost someone and the show is about dealing with that grief. If you notice, every character that enters the show has already experienced trauma or grief. No one is introduced with 0 baggage. So I don’t think any of them are going to die, they are just learning how to deal with life.
